由where引導的地點狀語從句跟定語從句如何區分？請看下面句子：This is the place where I lived before. 這是我以前住過的地方。這是由where引導的定語從句，它在句子中是關系副詞，作地點狀語，前面有表示地點的先行詞place。 This是主語，is 謂語， the place表語，where I lived地點狀語。

再看這個句子，Wuhan lies where the Changjiang River and the Hanjiang River meet. 武漢位于長江和漢江交界處。這個句子where前是沒有先行詞，它是從屬連詞，直接修飾位于動詞lies.

這裡就有一個問題，where引導的地點狀語從句和定語從句能否轉換？A tall building was put up at the place where there used to be a desert.這是定語從句，可以換成地點狀語從句，把at the place删掉， A tall building was put up where there used to be a desert.
