3. ake demands of sb. ：對某人（在技巧是、體能上等）要求很高

例句：These special students make huge demands of the teacher.

這些特殊的學生對老師的要求很高。

demand的動詞用法

1. and表示“需求”、“需要”，demand的這一用法一般作及物動詞，後面可以直接加上賓語。

例句：The career of teaching demands not only rich knowledge but great characters as well.

2. and表示“要求”、“請求”

demand的這一用法有時候直接加上名詞或名詞類短語，也可以加上that引導的賓語從句，接賓語從句時一般使用虛拟語氣，從句謂語用“(should) do”的形式。

例2：My parents demand that I (should) stay at home for the whole weekend.
