大家知道 I think so 這句裡面英語單詞 so 是什麼詞性嗎？so 在這裡的用法又是怎樣的？是否可以說 I think not？

字典上，對于so的解釋是這樣的：

So是英語副詞（adverb）：（用于代替先前提到的短語以避免重複）這樣，如此

​例如：

• "I hope they stay together." "I hope so too."“我希望他們在一起。”“我也希望如此。”
• "Do you think he's upset?" "I don't think so."“你認為他不高興了嗎？”“我想沒有。”

那麼so具體怎麼使用呢？

So可以放在下列動詞後面，替換動詞後面的賓語從句。一般用于簡短地回答。

• appear 似乎
• be afraid：用來委婉地說出不好的消息或者反對意見）恐怕，很遺憾
• believe：認為
• expect：期望
• guess：猜測
• hope：希望
• seem：似乎
• suppose：猜測
• think：認為

例如：

• A: Are you working on Saturday? 你星期六要工作嗎？
• B: I'm afraid so. I wish I wasn't! (=I'm afraid I'm working.) 恐怕要工作了！真希望不用工作

• A: Do you think the weather's going to be fine tomorrow? 你覺得明天天氣會好轉嗎？
• B: I hope so. I want to do some work in the garden. (=I hope the weather's going to be fine.) 我希望如此，我想在花園裡做點事情。

那麼，如何表示so的反面呢？是否可以說I think not呢？答案當然是否定的。

如何表示so 的反義面

1. be afraid, guess, hope, suppose。

針對這四個英語動詞，我們可以用 not替換so來表示反面的意思。

• A: Can we speak to Peter, please? 我找Peter
• B: I'm afraid not. He's busy. ( = I'm afraid you cannot speak to Peter.) 對不起，他現在很忙，無法接您的電話。

• A: It looks as if Peter won't be coming with us. 似乎Peter今天不會來了。
• B: I guess not. It's a pity. 我想他不會來了，真遺憾

• She thinks she might lose her job, but she hopes not. 她認為她可能失業，但她希望不會失業。

2. believe, expect, think

針對這三個英語動詞，我們在動詞前面加上don't表示反義。

A: Did Peter come here this morning? Peter今天早上來過這嗎？

B: I don't believe so. Ask her. 我覺得沒有。你問問她.
