Point 1 on， above， over 的用法

（1） on 表示“在...上”，是指在某物的表面之上，與物體表面接觸。

There is a picture on the wall. 牆上有幅畫。

（2） above是指離開物體表面而在其上方，但不一定是垂直向上； 還可指溫度，海拔等刻度“在...之上”。其反義詞是below。

The plane flew above the clouds. 飛機在雲層之上飛行。

（3） over是指離開物體的表面而在物體的正上方，有時還有“覆蓋，超過”之意。其反義詞是under。

A lump was hanging over the table. 桌子上方吊着一盞燈。

The thief climbed over the wall and away. 那個賊翻過圍牆逃走了。

She spread a cloth over the table. 她在桌上鋪了一塊桌布。

She put a blanket over the sleeping child. 她給熟睡的孩子蓋上毯子。

【知識拓展】over也可表示時間，意為”在...期間，直到...結束”。

Point 2 across，through，past，over，along的用法

Be careful enough while walking across the street. 過街時務必要小心。

They drove past a big supermarket. 他們開車經過了一家大型超市。

The plane flew over the Great Wall. 飛機從長城上方飛過。

He walks along the river every day. 他每天沿着那條河散步。

Point 3 at， in， on 的用法

這三個詞均可表示方位。At後接較小的地方或門牌号碼；in後接較大的地方；on一般指與面或線接觸。

We will meet each other at the park. 我們将在公園見面。

My parents live at 105 Nanjing Road. 我的父母住在南京路105号。

Mr. Smith has lived in Hong Kong for 20 years. 史密斯先生在香港住了二十年。

Put the picture on the wall, please. 請把這幅畫挂在牆上。

Point 6 Between， among 的用法

Between 一般指“兩者之間”，也可指三個或三個以上的人或物的每兩個之間；而among用于指三個或三個以上的人或物之間或籠統的一群人或一些物之間。

The house stands between two farms. 這座房子位于兩個農場之間。

Pleasant music if often played between classes to make students relaxed for a while.

課間經常播放令人愉快的音樂，是為了使學生們放松一會兒。

This attitude is common among the under-25s. 這種态度在25歲以下的青年中很普遍。
