這個意思在英語裡同樣适用

給某人某事許可

紅燈是“Red Light”、綠燈是“Green Light”，黃燈是“Yellow Light”嗎？

其實 Yellow Light 這種說法也是可以的，隻不過黃色信号燈還有一個很地道的表達是：amber（英[mb(r)]，美[mbr]）或者 amber light。

Amber是“琥珀”、“琥珀色”的意思，信号燈中的黃燈亮起來的時候就有點像琥珀，由此得名。

A flashing amber light means you may move forward with caution.
