一隻獅子和一隻老鼠

One fine day in spring, a mouse came out to the lawn and enjoyed the sun.

春天的一個美好的日子裡，一隻老鼠出去草坪并享受陽光。

Surprisingly (驚奇地), what he thought to be grass was actually (事實上) lion's mane.

驚奇的是，他以為是草的東西事實上是獅子的鬃毛。

The lion awoke from his nap and shouted,

這隻獅子從他的小憩中醒來并大吼，

“What luck! I am hungry (饑餓的) and a mouse is in front of me! I should eat you!”

“真是幸運！我餓了就有一隻老鼠在我前面！我應該吃了你！”

“Please, lion! Don't eat me! If you just let me go, I wouldn't forget this!”

“求求你，獅子！别吃我！如果你讓我走，我不會忘了這事的！”

“What? You will repay me?”The lion laughed (笑) at the mouse.

“什麼？你會報答我？”獅子嘲笑老鼠。

But he pitied the mouse, so he let the mouse go.

但他可憐老鼠，所以他讓老鼠走了。

After several days, the lion was caught in a hunter (獵人)'s net.

過了幾天，那隻獅子被獵人的網抓住了。

“I'll be dead.” He sobbed.

“我将要死了。”他啜泣着。

“Lion! Don't cry, I'll help you!”

“獅子！别哭，我會幫你的！”

The mouse cut the net with his sharp teeth.

老鼠用他鋒利的牙齒咬斷了網。

When the Lion was set free, he shed tears and said, “Thank you, mouse. I'm sorry I sneered at you.”

當獅子被放了的時候，他流着淚說：“謝謝你，老鼠。我很抱歉嘲笑過你。”

The lion and the mouse became good friends.

獅子和老鼠成了好朋友。
