　　1. 介紹或描述地點的基礎寫作, 通常以表格形式來呈現寫作點。該類表格通常有兩列,其中一列概括事物特征、屬性, 另一列對此特征、屬性展開描述。學生必須重新組織表格内容, 不能死闆地依據表格從左到右翻譯, 如不能寫成“The location of Guangzhou is in the south of China”這樣不地道的句子,相應的表達應該是: Guangzhou lies in the south of China.

　　2. 确定時态。介紹地點等描述基本特征的文章通常使用一般現在時。

　　3. 避免開頭指代不明。若文章沒有給出寫作對象或設定情景，避免用it作主語引導第一句, 而應該具體寫出描述的對象，如the Great Wall, Hong Kong等。但如果整篇文章 多處用“it” 等作主語,文章會稍顯遜色, 所以在寫作過程中, 可根據文意适當變換主語, 如改寫為the place, the city等。
