●01. thanks to 由于，幸虧

例句：

Thanks to Mary,

I was able to go to the hospital.

幸虧有瑪麗，

我才能去醫院。

●02. due to 由于；應歸于

例句：

The girl started to cry due to barking dogs.

因為狗叫，

女孩開始哭起來。

●03. in that 因為；由于；既然

例句：

I'm not lonely in that I am not alone at home.

我不寂寞，

因為我不是一個人在家。

●04. since

since除了“自....以後”，

還有 “因為；由于；既然” 的意思。

例句：

I love you since you love me.

因為你愛我，

所以我也愛你。

●05. for

for不僅僅可以表示“為了”，

它還有“因為”的意思。

例句：

I'm here for you asked me to come here.

因為你叫我來這兒，

所以我來了。

●06. by reason of 由于；因為

例句：

He was excused by reason of his age.

他因為年齡的關系而被原諒。

日期的表示法

日期的寫法(書面語)和讀法(口語)稍有不同,如“十月一日”可以寫成 October 1, October 1st,1 October, 1st October, (the) 1st of October 等,表示月份的詞也可用縮略式,如 Oct. 1, 1 Oct.,但是在口語中通常隻有兩種讀法 October (the) first或the first of October。【注】日期與星期排列時,通常是星期在前,日期在後。如:He arrived on Friday, May 10. 他于5月10日(星期五)到達。
