英語閱讀（學習)為什麼“總是使人進步”：ease oil prices

我們很多人每天都在做大量“英語閱讀”，或為考試願意或被迫消耗此時間，或為單純的學習興趣。但是我們可曾想過：我們所謂的“英語閱讀”裡總是缺少點什麼“味兒”？

缺少的就是（英語）閱讀“總是使人進步”的元素和能力。

缺失了這樣“進步”元素的所謂“英語閱讀”，你平日裡英語就算“讀的再多”也是“白讀”：更精确一點，也就是白白浪費自己不可逆的時間精力，也就是自己生命。

所以，會“節約”自己生命的人，既然“讀”英語，一定是要讓自己的（英語）閱讀讀得“總是使人進步”才叫（英語）閱讀。

（英語）閱讀“總是使人進步”到底是什麼樣的“東西”？

（英語）閱讀“總是使人進步”的閱讀，一定是你邊“讀”邊把自己學過的已知的英語“用起來”的閱讀，也就是你的英語“橫向知識”結構在不斷發生“發酵”的閱讀，而不是“讀”再多也隻是讓你的漢語思維一直在“陪讀”的所謂（英語）“閱讀”。

從小學開始就一直用漢語“陪讀”才能“讀”，也才能“讀懂”的英語閱讀，一定不是閱讀“總是使人進步”的“閱讀”。

The South Korean government on Thursday announced a plan to release 3.17 million barrels of crude oil from a reserve into the market, gradually from January to March next year, local media reported, as a contribution to a U.S.-led campaign to ease oil prices.

其中我們什麼都不要去讀，就“讀”裡面的ease oil prices好了，它是“總是使人進步”的閱讀嗎？

South Korea has decided to release 3.17 million barrels of oil from its reserves from January to March next year in a globally coordinated effort to stabilize prices and stimulate economic recovery, the Ministry of Trade Industry and Energy said on Thursday.

The decision comes a month after the country agreed to participate in the joint release of oil reserves in response to a request from the United States.

"In addition to stabilizing oil prices, the latest release is expected to help resolve instability in refiners' oil supply and prevent supply disruptions amid higher demand for petroleum products during the winter season," Vice Minister Park Ki-young said.

Of the 3.17 million barrels – 3.3 percent of the total 97 million barrels of oil reserves – some 2.08 million barrels of crude will be released to local refiners through rental agreement, while the other 1.09 million barrels of petroleum products will be released through a bidding process.

這是“課文”中就有“現成答案”供你“把學過的已知的英語用起來”的“使人進步”的閱讀。你隻需把它拿過來，用完整的“英語思維”句子把它說出來（這本身就是個需要訓練的難點能力）就是了。

如果沒有“現成”的，你要想閱讀“使人進步”，你一定也可以調動你學過的已知的英語知識reserve，做如下完整“英語思維”（也就是把學過的已知的英語用起來的能力）的表述（口語？）：

2.Okay.I got you.If you take measures to ease something,like pain,or tension,you do it to reduce it,to lessen it,to make it less serious,or less severe.

這就是“總是使人進步”的英語閱讀，所以我喜歡“把英語學成英語”。課文其它内容就沒必要逐字逐句翻譯成漢語來“陪讀”了，都是沒有意義（不會“使人進步”的閱讀）。

不過，CN的四六級英語考試似乎對這種“使人進步”的學習方法“不感興趣”，“感興趣”的唯有：分分分，學生的命根。
