be on a visit to = be visiting 正在參觀訪問的途中

4. anywhere 副詞,用于肯定句,任何地方

用于否定句和疑問句,什麼地方

somewhere 副詞,常用于肯定句,什麼地方

nowhere 副詞,沒什麼地方

形容詞修飾副詞 somewhere, anywhere, nowhere時應放在後面,做後置定語.

5. play 在球類詞,棋類詞前不用定冠詞the;

在樂器前要加定冠詞the.

6.複合不定代詞

(1)複合不定代詞作主語一般看成單數

(2)形容詞修飾不定代詞作後置定語

7. study for tests 複習準備考試

study for an English test 複習準備英語考試

9. take photos 拍照，相當于take a photo; take pictures

take a photo of 給……拍照.

a photo of Tom 照片上是Tom;

a photo of Tom’s 相片是Tom的

相當多

quite a few 修飾可數名詞複數形式(=not a few)

quite a little 修飾不可數名詞(=not a little)

11. buy (bought, bought) 買, 購買,反義詞sell (sold, sold)

buy sb. sth. = buy sth. for sb. 給某人買某物

12. How do you like sth.? 你認為……怎麼樣?

in Beijing =in the city of Beijing 在北京

14. 反身代詞

myself yourself himself herself itself

ourselves yourselves themselves

(1)第二人稱分單複數;

(2)常用作賓語或主語同位語,不能單獨做主語

(3)常用短語

enjoy oneself 玩得很開心

learn by oneself =teach oneself 自學

by oneself 獨自地,單獨地

lose oneself (in)沉迷于,專注于,迷路

feed …to … 把……喂給……吃

16. bored 形容詞,無聊的,煩人的,描述人

boring 形容詞,讓人無聊的,描述事物或修飾事物

bore 動詞,使……感到無聊,事物做主語

17. not …bot … 除了……無事可做(有do 無to; 無do 有to)

The only problem was that there was nothing much to do in the evening but read.

I couldn’t do anything but sleep.

I did nothing but wait.

He had nothing to do but cry.

I had no choice but to sleep.

18. seem 動詞, 好像,似乎;看來,常用作系動詞,後面接形容詞或動詞不定式

Sb. seems / seem / seemed. to do sth.

=It seems / seemed that sb. do sth. ……好像……

He seemed to know it.= It seemed that he knew it.

19. diary 名詞. 日記,複數形式 diaries.
