語法部分：數詞

表示數目多少或順序多少的詞叫數詞，數詞分為基數詞和序數詞。表示數目多少的數詞叫基數詞；表示順序的數詞叫序數詞。英語的數詞可以作句子的主語、賓語、表語和定語。

【基數詞的構成】

【數詞的基本用法】

1.加、減、乘、除的運算。

例如：

1 1=2 one plus one is two.

10-3=7 ten minus three is seven.

9×8=72 nine times eight is seventy-two.

16÷2=8 sixteen is divided by two is eight.

2.小數

例如：

3.14 讀作：three point one four (或 three point fourteen)

0.35 讀作：（zero）point three five (thirty-five)

注意：用小數修飾名詞時，超過 1，名詞就要用複數形式，例如：1.2 meters.

3. 分數

分子用基數詞表示，分母用序數詞，分子大于 1 時，分母加 s 表示複數，例如：

one third 三分之一

two fifths 五分之二

4. 年份

（1）用基數詞，兩位一讀，例如：1998 nineteen ninety-eight

（2）如果年份是整數，或中間帶兩個零的，直接用基數詞讀，例如：

2000 two thousand

2008 two thousand and eight

（3）若年份的第三位是零，有兩種讀法，例如： 1905 nineteen o five / nineteen hundred and five

倍數或次數的表示法。

例如：一倍/一次：once

兩倍/兩次：twice 三倍/三次、四倍/四次以上：three times , four times ......

5. 年齡的表達

（1）表示“幾歲”，用“基數詞 years old”,例如：He is twelve years old . 他十二歲。

（2）表示“在......年齡時”，用 at the age of 基數詞，例如：

At the age of six, she began to learn English. 她六歲時開始學習英語。

6. “半”的表達

一半：half a/an 名詞或 a half 或 one and a half 名詞，例如：

An/one hour and a half 或 one and a half hours 一個半小時

7.車路、車次、航班次、房間号、樓層、頁數等的表示法。

例如：

12 路車 bus 12/No.12 bus/bus No.12

36 次列車 Train 36

4019 次航班 Flight 4019

101 房間 Room 101

注意：在給名詞編号時，“名詞 基數詞”形式中的名詞和基數詞的首字母都要大寫；若是用序數詞 名詞，則序數詞前要加 the。

【時間和日期的表達方式】

1. 時間的表達方法

時間表達用基數詞，主要有兩種方法：

（1）順讀法：連用兩個基數詞，第一個表示鐘點，第二個表示分鐘，例如：

1:20 one twenty

6:35 six thirty-five

（2）倒讀法

不超過 30 分鐘：分鐘 past 鐘點數，表示“幾點過幾分”，例如：

4:25 twenty-five past four

10:13 thirteen past ten

超過 30 分鐘：（60-分鐘數） to （鐘點數 1），表示“幾點差幾分”，例如：

7:55 five to eight

11:40 twenty to twelve

30 分用 half，15 分用 a quarter 表示，例如：

9:30 half past nine

5:45 a quarter to six

2. 日期的表達方法

日期表達要用序數詞，例如：

10 月 1 日

October 1st/Oct.1st 讀作：October (the) first / the first of October

7 月 18 日

July 18th/Jul.18th

讀作：July (the) eighteenth/the eighteenth of July

注意：年、月、日在英語中的順序是：月、日、年，例如：2012 年 2 月 12 日，讀作：February (the) twelfth /the twelfth

of February , two thousand and twelve

【數量詞的用法】

表示長、寬、高、面積等，用基數詞 單位詞（meter, foot, inch, kilogram 等） 形容詞（long, wide, high 等）表示。

例如：two meters long 兩米長

three feet high 三英尺高

four inches wide 四英寸高

表示時間、距離時，用含有數詞的名詞所有格形式作定語。

例如：Five minutes’ walk 步行 5 分鐘（的距離）

It’s an hour’s ride from my home to the university. 從我家到大學是乘車一小時的路程。
