下面我們繼續本周《新概念英語1》第135-136課的重點句型或語法的分享。先來讀一讀第135課的課文：

本課将繼續學習間接引語的用法。

本課側重學習的是當主句動詞為過去式時，作為賓語從句的間接引語中的謂語動詞的變化。一般情況下，間接引語中的謂語動詞要改為相應的過去時态。

與第133-134課不同的是，本課側重學習的是直接引語的謂語動詞含有助動詞或情态動詞時的變化。

（一）will do改為would do

當直接引語中的謂語動詞為一般将來時，轉為間接引語後，要改為過去将來時，如：

He said to Jane, 'I will get up at seven tomorrow morning.'

He told Jane (that) he would get up at seven tomorrow morning.

當直接引語中的謂語動詞采用的是表将來的am/is/are going to do的用法，改為間接引語後，其中的be動詞要改為was/were，如：

He said to Jane, 'I am going to visit your school next week.'

He told Jane (that) he was going to visit her school next week.

（二）can do改為could do

當直接引語中的謂語動詞含有情态動詞can的一般式時，轉為間接引語後，要把can改為過去式could，如：

He said to Jane, 'I can work in the garden.'

He told Jane (that) he could work in the garden.

【注意】

如果是否定句，改法是一樣的，隻要把can改為could，如：

He said to Jane, 'I can't work in the garden now.'

He told Jane (that) he couldn't in the garden then.

（三）may改為might

當直接引語中的謂語動詞含有情态動詞may的一般式時，轉為間接引語後，要把may改為過去式might，如：

He said to Jane, 'I may go to your school soon.'

He told Jane (that) he might go to her school soon.

【注意】

如果是否定句，改法是一樣的，隻要把may改為might，如：

He said to Jane, 'I may not go to your school soon.'

He told Jane (that) he might not go to her school soon.
