别來春半，觸目柔腸斷。

砌下落梅如雪亂，拂了一身還滿。

雁來音信無憑，路遙歸夢難成。

離恨恰如春草，更行更遠還生。

李煜（937－978），籍貫徐州彭城縣（今江蘇省徐州市），生于江甯府（今江蘇省南京市），字重光，号鐘山隐士，南唐末代君主、詩人。

LI Yu (937-978), styled Recovery, Zhongshan Hermit by literary name, a native of Pengcheng County, Xuzhou (in present-day Xuzhou, Jiangsu Province), born in Jiangning (present-day Nanjing, Jiangsu Province). He was the last monarch of the Southern Tang dynasty as well as a poet. (劉麗譯)

Eyes into eyes, there breaks our heart.

Under the steps wintersweets swirl like snow,

Sweeping all my body, high and low.

The wild geese come with no word, alack;

It’s too far away, I can’t go back.

Like spring grass is our parting, so sad;

As far we go, it grows more, so mad.
