Overlook means someone forgets to do something that should do for some reason, it is normally by accident or unconscious.

Overlook是疏忽大意的意思。用來表達不小心、不經意犯的錯誤。

Example:

I didn't pay attention, so I overlooked the mistake in the spelling.

我沒怎麼注意，因此疏忽大意把單詞拼錯了。

Jacey overlooked the minor errors although she reviewed the document hard.

Ignore means someone doesn't do something for a deliberate(深思熟慮的) reason. In other words, it is by intent, on purpose.

Ignore是有意忽略的意思。但這個忽略不會造成實質性的負面影響。

Example:

I noticed the spelling mistake but chose to ignore it (on purpose).

我注意到那個拼寫錯誤了，但懶得改了。

I ignored the alarm clock this morning, because I am tired and didn't want to get up.

今天早上我忽略了鬧鐘，因為我那時很困，一點兒也不想起床。

Many parents ignore their children when the children refuses to eat their dinner or go to sleep.

很多父母都故意忽略他們孩子的需求，當孩子不吃飯或不按時睡覺的時候。

Neglect also means someone doesn't do something for a deliberate, on purpose reason, but it is not only deliberate(深思熟慮的) reason, but also has connotation(含意) of immoral(不道德的), which means you should not ignore the thing.

Neglect是忽視的意思。用來表達本不應該這樣做，結果卻做了，并由此造成了負面的影響。

Example:

If a parent neglects a child, they fail to provide love to the child.

如果一個父母忽視了自己的孩子，那麼他們不稱職。

No one is allowed to neglect safety risks, whatever the risk is high or low.

無論安全風險是大是小，不允許任何人忽視安全。
