什麼是動詞短語?

是由兩個或兩個以上的詞，以動詞為中心在一起構成的短語就是動詞短語。

這是英語學習的一個重點，也是一個難點，因為搭配很多，易混淆，但應用廣泛，所以值得我們花時間來弄清楚。

首先來看take短語:

take up 開始學習 占據

Many retired people take up gardening as a hobby.

許多退休的人都以從事園藝為嗜好。

I won't take up much of your time.

我不會占用你很多時間。

take away 帶走 消除 解除

Don't let him take away your freedom to think for yourself.

别讓他奪去你獨立思考的自由。

I will give you some tablets to take away the pain.

take after 相像

Your son doesn't take after you in any way.
