學好英語包括熟練使用英英字典：five-finger discount什麼意思？

學習英語的意義不僅在于“懂得”那句英語“什麼意思”？更在于同時訓練自己熟練運用語言工具自己解決問題的能力。

“什麼意思”既包括“中文意思”，這是多數人第一時間想要的，也包括“英語意思”。這就是多數人忽略的了。

一個“學習”了多年英語“隻顧”知道“老師，給答案”，卻做不到同時熟練運用工具解決簡單英語問題，對一些常用工具不能“如數家珍”，這樣的“英語學習”是殘缺不全的。

因此，我在提供“答案”的同時，更多是訓練如何運用工具自己解決簡單問題：說白了就是“不懂就查字典”的習慣和能力。

一、查英英字典

英英字典1：

To steal something

這是第一種用詞：to steal，原來就是to steal啊！這下用英語“懂”了。

英英字典2：

shoplifting,or pocket-picking

現在不必用中文“懂”英語了：use five-finger discount=to steal.To steal = to shoplift=pick pocket.

用英語記英語才是王道。

二、查翻譯軟件

“想知道”中文意思很簡單，複制粘貼到任何翻譯軟件就可以了。不過，這不叫學英語，因為你還是“隻懂中文意思”。

“互聯網 ”時代，查英漢詞典就能解決的英語還有必要靠“老師”教，跟“老師”學嗎？

三、英語口語：Okay.I got you.

1.Okay.I got you.If you use your five-finger discount,it means you steal something,you shoplift something, you pick pocket

2.Five-finger discount means stealing something,or shopliftinfg something,or pick someone's pocket.

訓練用英語記英語容易，用英語記英語難。這才是學英語應該“使勁兒”之處。
