介詞是一種用來表示詞與詞、詞與句之間關系的詞，在句中不能單獨作句子成分。介詞後面一般有名詞、代詞或相當于名詞的其他詞類、短語或從句作它的賓語。介詞和它的賓語構成介詞短語，在句中作狀語、表語、定語或賓語補足語等。

1.表示時間的介詞

①in,on,at 在·····時

in表示較長時間，如世紀、朝代、時代、年、季節、月、星期及一般（非特指）的早、中、晚等。

He will come back in a week.

他一星期以後回來。

on表示具體某一天及其早、中、晚。

They set out on a Friday morning.

他們在一個周五的早晨出發了。

at表示某一時刻或較短暫的時間，或泛指聖誕節、複活節等。at 3:20, at this time of year,at the beginning of, at the end of. . . , at the age of. . . , at Christmas, at night, at noon, at this moment等。

注意：在last,next,this,that,some,every 等詞之前一律不用介詞。

We meet every day.我們每天都見面。

②in,after在·····之後

“in 一段時間”表示将來的一段時間以後。

We'll meet again in two weeks.

兩周後我們還會再見面的。

“after 一段時間”表示過去的一段時間以後。

She came back from work after 7 hours.

她7個小時後才下班回家。

③from,since 自從……

from僅說明什麼時候開始，不說明某動作或情況持續多久。

I will meet you in Changsha one week from today.

我一星期後和你在長沙見面。

since表示某動作或情況持續至說話時刻，通常與完時連用。

It is a long time since we separated.我們分手有很長一段時間了。

(2.)表示地點位置的介詞

at,in,on,to

at

①表示在小地方：②表示“在····附近、旁邊”。at the door在門口。

in

①表示在大地方，②表示“在···..範圍之内”。in the train在火車上。

on

表示毗鄰，接壤，意為“在······上面”。

The river is on the east of Guizhou.

那條河在貴州的東面。

to

表示“在····範圍外”，不強調是否接壤或表示“到······”。如：

England lies to the northwest of France.

英國位于法國的西北面。

above,over,on在······上

above 指“在······上方”，不強調是否垂直，與below相對。

The plane was flying above the clouds.飛機在雲層上面飛行。

over指在垂直的上方，與under相對，但over與物體有一定的空間，不直接接觸。

A lamp hung over the table.桌子上方吊着一盞燈。

on表示在某物體上面并與之接觸。

on the desk在桌子上。

below,under在······下面under

表示“在······正下方”。如：·under the bridge在橋下。

below表示“在······下”，不一定在正下方。

Fish were swimming below the surface of water.

魚在水面下遊動。

in front of,in the front of在······前面

in front of. . . 意思是“在······前面”，指甲物在乙物之前，兩者互不包括；其反義詞是behind(在······的後面）。

in front of the building在大樓前面。

in the front of意思是“在·····的前部”，即甲物在乙物的内部，反義詞是at the back of. . . (在······範圍内的後部）。

in the front of the classroom

在教室前（教室裡面的前面）。

beside,behind

beside表示“在····旁邊”。

There is a power station beside the river.

河邊有座發電站。

behind表示“在······後面”。

Look out! There is someone behind you.
