1、不定代詞、主語都應當用someone，anyone等修飾名詞。
2、謂語動詞需要用either，在否定式常用。
3、 someone, anyone等作主語時
4、someone, anyone, no one, everyone, something, nothing等複合不定代詞作主語，謂語動詞用單數：
5、Someone is asking to see you. 有人找你。 Nobody is to blame for it. 這誰也不怨。
6、No one wants to read such books. 沒有人想看那樣的書。
7、all 作主語時
8、若指人，謂語通常用複數；若指事物或現象，謂語通常用單數： All have gone home. 大家都走了。
9、All that glitters is not gold. 發亮的不一定都是金子。 比較：
10、All is silent. 萬籁俱寂。(指現象)
11、All are silent. 人人都沉默不語。(指具體的人) 【注意】
12、若是“all of+名詞”作主語，則謂語動詞與其中名詞的數保持一緻。
13、either和neither作主語時 若是單獨作主語，謂語通常用單數： Neither was satisfactory. 兩個都不令人滿意。
