On October 9^th, the Chinese Athletics Association announced the evaluation results of the 2019 China Marathon grading and characteristics. The 2019 Zhengzhou International Marathon was upgraded from a bronze to a silver tier event. The Zhengzhou International Marathon is the first urban marathon exclusive to Zhengzhou. At its inception, this city made it clear that it intends to create an international, high-quality, and high-standard brand event for all. Zhengzhou has integrated dynamic elements and cultural content into the event, making it a large platform to showcase the city's international vision and new developments to global audiences. This practice makes the event more interesting, accessible and approachable to all.

10月9日，中國田徑協會正式對外公布了2019中國馬拉松等級賽事及特色賽事評定結果，2019鄭州國際馬拉松賽從首屆的銅牌賽事升級為銀牌賽事。作為首個“鄭州專屬”的城市馬拉松賽事，鄭州馬拉松賽從籌備之初就明确要以“高起點、高标準、高品質”為準則，以“大平台、大視野、大傳播”為手段，以“有活力、有文化、有溫度”為方向，打造一場國際化、精品化、高标準、全民性的品牌賽事。

The Chinese Athletics Association has annually graded marathon events held in cities on the basis of three standards: gold, silver, and bronze since 2012. Evaluation criteria include the timing point, display team, the number of specially invited foreign athletes, the performance of athletes, the scale, the location of doping and EPO testing. The Chinese Athletics Association illustrated its approval and trust in the Zhengzhou International Marathon by rating it as a silver tier event.

2012年起，中國田徑協會每年都會對各城市舉辦的各類馬拉松賽事以金牌、銀牌、銅牌三個标準進行等級評定。評定辦法對計時點、賽事展示團隊、國外特邀選手數量、參賽選手成績、規模、賽事興奮劑檢查的地點以及EPO檢測等都作了要求。能夠獲得銀牌賽事的殊榮，充分體現了中國田徑協會對鄭馬從賽事籌備到運行工作的認可與信任。

獲評“民族民俗特色賽事”

The Zhengzhou International Marathon is the only marathon that runs through the core urban area, allowing runners to fully experience the cultural charm of Zhengzhou from ancient times to the present. While bringing social benefits to the city, it won a good reputation in the industry as well as praise by runners from all over the country. In 2018, the first Zhengzhou International Marathon won the bronze medal in the 2018 China Marathon and took home the award for "an characteristic event with the most beautiful track". In 2019, the second Zhengzhou International Marathon was rated as a silver tier event. At the same time, it also won the title of "an event with national folk characteristics" by integrating surname culture into the marathon. It has become a characteristic marathon category of central China.

作為唯一的一個賽道穿越核心城區、可以讓跑友充分感受鄭州從古至今文化魅力的馬拉松賽事，“鄭馬”目前已經連續舉辦2018和2019兩屆，不僅收獲了良好的社會效益及業界口碑，更赢得了全國廣大跑友的贊譽。2018年，首屆“鄭馬”獲評2018中國馬拉松銅牌賽事，同時将“最美賽道特色賽事”獎項收入囊中；2019年，第二屆“鄭馬”再上新台階，在升級為銀牌賽事的同時，還憑借極具中原特色的“姓氏馬拉松”獲評“民族民俗特色賽事”。

The "2020 China Marathon Event" was held in April 2020. During the event, the Zhengzhou International Marathon recieved wide recognition from the industry and runners, and was selected into the top 20 of the“Most Influential Marathons 2019", ranking No.1 in Henan Province. Winning this honor two years after its inception, it became the youngest one on the list. As an emerging marathon in China, Zhengzhou International Marathon is becoming the new image of Zhengzhou. The Zhengzhou International Marathon will continue to strive for the gold medal, and eventually become a "double gold event" recognized by the IAAF and the Chinese Athletics Association.

2020年4月，在“2020中國馬拉松風雲會”上，僅僅舉辦第二屆的“鄭馬”獲得業界和跑友的廣泛認可，成為“2019年最具影響力馬拉松賽事排行榜”前二十名當中最年輕的賽事，也是河南省排名最高的賽事。作為國内馬拉松領域冉冉升起的新興賽事，“鄭馬”正在成為鄭州新的城市名片。據悉，“鄭馬”接下來将繼續向金牌賽事沖刺，最終目标是将賽事打造成國際田聯和中國田協認可的“雙金賽事”。
