今天的知識點講的是，Habits, Customs and Traditions都有什麼不同？

不得不說這個問題确實是個好問題，因為很多同學确實分不太清楚。因為這三個單詞都與重複某動作有關。

Traditions

① traditions and customs是由許多人在很長的一段時間都在做的一個動作，偏正式的傳統和習俗。比如唐代著名詩人王維在重陽節時呤詩 “獨在異鄉為異客,每逢佳節倍思親”。中秋節Mid-Autumn Festival 吃月餅mooncake等，傳統更多的講具有一定的儀式感。

② habit則是一種非正式的，通常僅限于一個人的習慣性動作。

① Traditions的意思是傳統，更多的是指節日傳統。比如在美國，感恩節上與大家一起分享火雞就是一個傳統。

Sharing a meal with turkey is a Thanksgiving tradition in the United States.

或者說在我國春節放煙花也是一個傳統。

Fireworks are part of China's Spring Festival tradition.

② Customs的意思是習俗，也就是習慣風俗，一般來講這種風俗近代才産生的習慣，或者隻有少部分人在使用的習慣。Customs習俗不像春節那樣，具有一定的曆史文化背景。比如在工作場合，與客戶初次見面需要握手示意。

In the workplace, it is the custom to shake people's hands when you first meet them.

比如祖父母習慣夏天在湖裡遊泳，現在我姑姑、叔叔、父母等都喜歡在湖裡遊泳，最終，每年夏天去湖裡遊泳就成了我們家的習俗。

For sixty years, my grandparents had a custom of swimming in the lake on the first day of summer. Now my aunts, uncles, cousins and parents do it, too. ‘Summer swim' is our family tradition.

與Traditions和Customs具有的明顯不同是，Habit隻是針對一個人說的習慣。指一個人周期性的重複某一個動作或做一個事情。比如有潔癖的人可能就會頻繁洗手，比如我就特别期望你們能養成每天7點看《百天英語》的習慣。
