考點一：a,e,i,o,u五個元音字母的發音：

注意元音字母在重讀開音節、閉音節中的讀音，非重讀音節中的讀音及特例情況：

開音節有兩種：
1) 在重讀音節中，元音字母之後沒有輔音字母，叫絕對開音節。
如：go, no, me, paper
2) 在元音字母之後，有一個輔音字母（r除外），而後面又跟上一個不發音的元音字母e，叫相對開音節。
如：home name face

在重讀開音節中，元音字母一律讀它的字母音，即長音。

閉音節：以一個或幾個輔音字母結尾（r除外），而中間隻有一個元音字母的音節叫閉音節。在閉音節中，元音字母一律讀它的短音。

但是：

a. 字母a

1) 在/w/後常發短音[ﺪ] 如wash,what,want；

2) 在water一詞中，a發長音/ [ﺪ:]；

3) 在danger strange change中發/ei/；

4) 在class can't father after中發/a:/

b. 字母e

在 ever even eve 這三個單詞中的發音分别為：/e/ /i:/ /i:/。

c. 字母i

發/i:/ policeman machine
d. 字母o

發/u/ woman /i/ women
在m,n,v,th前發 /Λ / come，son，love，does，mother
e. 字母u 發/i/ busy 不發音 build (built)

考點二：以-ed結尾的單詞的詞尾正确讀音；

清輔音後讀作/ t / .looked hoped
濁、元音後讀作/ d / cleaned answered
t,d之後加ed, ed讀/ id /started decided

考點三：以-s，-es結尾的單詞的詞尾正确讀音；

清輔音後讀作/s/ .maps cakes
濁、元音後讀作/z / bananas dogs
在/s/、/z/、/dƷ//∫/ 音之後讀/ iz / classes bridges washes houses

考點四：常見字母組合的讀音；

(字母組合包括:元音字母組合和輔音字母合)

考點五：不符合讀音規則的常用詞的讀音。

1. 詞性變化引起讀音變化

(1) 同形而不同詞性的單詞讀音變化

excuse n./s/ v./z/

separate v./ei/ adj./i/

breath n. /θ / v./ ð/

record n./e/ v./i/

absent adj./ Ə / v./ æ /

abstract adj./ æ / v./ Ə /

bow n./ Əu / v./au /

（2）有些詞加後綴時引起讀音的變化

nation /ei/---national/ æ /

know/ Ə u/----knowledge /ﺪ/

south /sauθ/----/southern / ́́ sΛðƏn/

2. 詞形變化引起讀音變化

(1) 可數名詞變複數的讀音變化

mouth /θ/ - --mouths / ðz/

house /s/---houses /ziz/

woman / ́́ wum Ə n/---women / ́́wimin/

(2) 詞過去式中的讀音變化

will----would /wud/

shall---should /∫ud/

can---could /kud/

eat---ate /et,eit/

mean---meant /;ment

hear---heard /h Ə:d/

(3) 詞在否定縮寫中的讀音變化

cannot---can`t /ka:nt/

shall not---shan`t /∫a:nt/

will not---won`t /wƏunt/

do not---don`t /dƏunt/

3 .複合詞的讀音變化

break/ei/---breakfast/e/

head/e/---forehead/rid/

hand / d /---handsome/ /

room /u:/----classroom /u/

news /z/----newspaper /s/

4. 同源詞的讀音變化

know / Əu/---knowledge /ﺪ/

nature/ei/---natural / æ/

nation /ei/----national / æ/

breath /θ/---breathe / ð/

bath /ba:θ/---bathe /beð/

cloth /klﺪθ/---clothes /klƏuðz/

worth /θ/---worthy / ði/
