• in表示"在......内部;在......裡面"。What is in the box?
• on表示"在某物的上面"，但兩者互相接觸。My books are on the table.
• under表示"在……下方"，兩者之間不接觸。My cat is under the chair.

區别：

• above 指在…上方, 在…上部。不強調是否垂直，與 below相對
• over指垂直的上方,與under相對, 兩者間有距離，不接觸。
• on表示某物體上面并與之接觸。

The bird is flying above my head.

There is a bridge over the river.

He put his pen on the desk.

區别：

• under表示在…正下方
• below表示在…下，不一定在正下方

There is a ball under the table.

• near 在…附近 There is a bank near our school.
• in front of在…前面 A boy is standing in front of the wall.
• beside 在…旁邊 A chair is beside the door.
• behind 在…後面 There is a broom behind the door.
• next to 緊挨着 There is a police station next to the hospital.
• on the left在…左邊 The tree is on the left.
• on the right在…右邊 The playground is on the right.

區别：

• in the middle (of)在…中間The cat is in the middle of the flowers.
• between表示兩者之間 My school is between the hotel and hospital.
• among表示在三者或三者以上之間 There is a building among the trees.

區别：

• at 表示在小地方
• in 表示 在大地方
• on 表示毗鄰，接壤
• to 表示在…範圍外，不強調是否接壤

She is at home.

He arrived in Shanghai yesterday.

Jiangsu lies in the east of China.

Russia lives on the north of China.

Fujian is to the south of Jiangsu Province.
