由于好友反映很難找到美國英語教材《語境中的語法》這本書,講完昨天的練習,這個教材介紹就告一段落。
一、Be句型的作用練習
昨天留下的練習是這樣的:EXERCISE 2 Fill in the blanks to make true statements.
練習目的:理解Be句型的作用。
EXAMPLE: California is on the west (location位置) coast.
1. Washington, D.C., is on the east (location表位置) coast. (閱讀課文内容)
2. Chicago is a city (classification表分類). Illinois is a state. (閱讀課文内容)
3. Puerto Rico is an island (classification表分類) with water all around.
(課文中也有It is a territory的内容,但空格前給的是an,隻能填空元音音素開頭的island)
4. It is 20:00 p.m./20 o'clock (time表時間)now.
5. It is sunny (weather表天氣)today.
6. The American president is about seventy-three years old (age表年齡).
7. The teacher is from Guang Dong, China (place of origin).
題目要求是make true statements,句子又是一般現在時,4-7題以今時今地真實情況内容作答。
重視初中基礎知識是高考卷2014年起引入短文改錯題型而面臨的新情況。
二、《新概念英語》Pre-Unit Test 1 Ex.D:
(一)D. Look at this example.看示例,懂要求。
She goes to town every day. -->She went to town yesterday.
将一般現在時的句子改為一般過去時,注意謂語時态變化和時間狀語變化規律。
(二)Do these in the same way. 用同樣方法改寫。
I. He buys a new car every year.
--> He ________ a new car last year.
2. She airs the room every day.
-->She ________ it this morning.
3. He often loses his pen.
-->He ________ his pen this morning.
4. He always listens to the news.
-->He ________ to the news yesterday.
5. She empties this basket every day.
-->She ________ it yesterday.
