3.be動詞的一般疑問句

Are they from China? 他們是來自中國嗎？

1)be動詞的一般疑問句的結構為＂Be (Am, Is, Are)＋主語＋其他? ＂

将be動詞提到句首，am, is或are的首字母要大寫，原來的首字母改成小寫（人名、地名等專有名詞除外）；句号改成問号。 在朗讀一般疑問句時，要用升調。其簡略答語用降調。

⑴be動詞變一般疑問句時，如果主語是第一人稱I或We時，要把I或We變成第二人稱you，I /We變為 you, be動詞用are。即通常将I am…或We are…變成Are you…?

►—I am a teacher. 我是一名老師。

—Are you a teacher? 你是一名老師嗎?

►—We are Chinese. 我們是中國人。

—Are you Chinese? 你們是中國人嗎?

⑵肯定句中的形容詞性物主代詞my或our，變一般疑問句時要改為your。

►—This is my book. 這是我的書。

—Is this your book? 這是你的書嗎？

⑶第二人稱和第三人稱一般不發生改變。

►—He is a student. 他是一個學生。

—Is he a student. 他是一個學生嗎？

2) be動詞的一般疑問句的回答方式

be動詞一般疑問句分别用Yes或No作肯定或否定回答，Yes或No的後面一定要有逗号，逗号後所加的主語不能大寫，除了I（我）例外。

肯定回答：Yes, 主語（人稱代詞主格）＋be (am, is, are).。（其中主語和be動詞不能縮寫在一起）

否定回答：No, 主語＋be (am, is, are)not.。（其中be動詞和not必須縮寫在一起，但am與not不可縮寫，此時應寫為I'm not.）

►—Are you twelve? 你十二歲嗎?  

—Yes, I am.是的,我是。 —No, I'm not.不,我不是。  

注意：不可以寫成“Yes, I'm.” 或“No, I amn’t.”。 

►—Are they good friends? 他們是好朋友嗎?

—Yes, they are. 是的，他們是。

—No, they aren’t. 不，他們不是。

►—Is this your pencil? 這是你的鉛筆嗎?

—Yes， it is. / No， it isn't. 是的，是我的。/ 不，不是我的。

⑴主語如果是名字、人或物時，在回答的句子中，要換成相應的代詞。

①主語是單數女性，用she代替

►—Is Mary a nurse? 瑪麗是一名護士嗎?

—Yes, she is. 是的，她是。

—No, she isn't. 不，她不是。(答語中的she不能用Mary)。

►—Is your mother a doctor?

—Yes, she is. —No, she isn't.

②主語是單數男性，用he代替

►—Is Mike a student? 邁克是一位學生嗎?

—Yes, he is. 是的，他是。

—No, he isn't.不，他不是。(答語中的he不能用Mike)。

►—Is your father a doctor? 你父親是一名醫生嗎？

—Yes, he is. 是的，他是。 — No, he isn’t. 不，他不是。

③主語是單數事物，回答時要用it代替

►—Is your book on the desk? 你的書在桌子上嗎?

—Yes, it is. 是的，它在。 —No, it isn’t. 不，它不在。

your book是第三人稱單數，回答時要代換為it。

④主語是複數的人或物，回答時要用they代替

►—Are the boys from America? 男孩子們來自美國嗎？

—Yes, they are. —No, they aren’t.

►—Are these books Jack’s? 這些書是傑克的嗎？

—Yes, they are. —No, they aren’t.

⑤問句用you, 回答改用I 或we，I永遠用大寫。

►—Are you Jack? Yes, I am. No, I’m not.

►—Are you Chinese? Yes, we are. No, we aren’t.

⑥Is this/that…? 結構的一般疑問句的答語要用Yes, it is. 或No, it isn't.。

►—Is that your ruler? 那是你的尺子嗎?

—Yes, it is. / No, it isn't. 是的，它是。/不，它不是。 ⑦Are these/those…? 結構的一般疑問句的答語要用Yes, they are. 或No , they aren't.。

►—Are those his dictionaries? 那些是他的詞典嗎？

—Yes, they are. / No, they aren't. 是的，它們是。/不，它們不是。

►—There is a book on the desk. 在桌上有一本書。

—Is there a book on the desk? 在桌上有一本書嗎?

肯定回答:Yes, there is. 是的,這裡有。

否定回答: No, there isn't. 不,這裡沒有。

⑧有些一般疑問句也可用其他形式來回答。

►—Is that Gina's book？ 那是吉娜的書嗎？

—Sorry， I don’t know. 對不起，我不知道。
