pass,past兩詞長得很是相像，并且都有“過”這一漢語意——有些同學使用的時候總是容易混淆，今天我們來系統地分析一下這兩個詞具有相近意思時的區分。

從常用漢語意思及詞性上來區分：

詞性：動詞（v.）有且隻有一種詞性。

漢語意思：

1、傳遞：

pass me the book

遞給我那本書。

2、通過、走過：

She passed me even without saying hello.

她從我身邊走過，沒和我打招呼。

3、通過 ：

He didn't pass the exam.

他沒有通過考試。

4、（時間）推移、逝去：

Three days has passed since he left here.

自從他離開這兒三天已經過去了。

詞性比較多，不是動詞。

1、adj(形容詞）：過去的，昔日的

in past years 在過去的歲月

2、adv.(副詞）：穿過

I stopped him when he ran past.

當他跑過去時我攔住了他。

3、adv.(副詞）：時間過去、逝去

A week went past and nothing had changed.

一個星期過去了，情況毫無變化。

4、prep.(介詞)： 晚于，在……之後

She arrived here ten past ten.

她十點十分到這兒的。

5、prep.(介詞) ：經過，過

He hurried past them without stopping.

他匆忙地從他們身邊經過，沒有停下。

6、n.（名詞）：過去

the distant past 遙遠的過去

7、n.（名詞）：某人過去的經曆或事業

We know nothing about his past.

我們對他的過去一無所知。

小貼士：

1、pass=go/run/drive/walk past。

2、短語during the past three days 也可以說成in the last three days。

解題技巧：

判斷所需使用詞在句中所充當成分，如果是作謂語（主語發出的動作），别無選擇，使用pass。

如果不是作謂語，使用past。

二者是非此即彼的關系，不能同時使用。

其實總結起來就是：謂語pass非謂past

如：

Whenever she _______ the shop,she couldn't help stopping to look at the shoes that she liked very much.

she 是主語，發出的動作是“經過”，做謂語，所以要用動詞，填 passed

再如：

I still remember the _______ wonderful days.

I 是主語，remember是謂語，那麼需要填的詞就不是謂語了，填past。
