河北經貿大學是河北省重點建設的骨幹大學，是一所以經濟學、管理學、法學為主，兼有文學、理學、工學和藝術學的多學科财經類大學。

學校始于1953年創辦的河北省供銷合作社石家莊合作學校，1995年由河北财經學院、河北經貿學院、河北商業高等專科學校合并組建而成。

截至2017年9月，學校占地2950餘畝，綠化面積達40%以上，分為北、南、西三個校區辦學，校本部設在北校區，主要舉辦本科、研究生和留學生教育，南、西校區為獨立學院經濟管理學院；設有15個本科學院、4個教學部（中心），開辦60個本科專業；擁有9個學術學位一級學科碩士點、55個學術學位二級學科碩士點、12個專業碩士學位類别、3個河北省國家一流學科建設項目；2018年3月，新增4個專業碩士學位類别；共有全日制本科生、碩士研究生、留學生31600餘名（含獨立學院學生10160名），繼續教育學員29600餘名；有教職工1964人，其中專任教師1110人。

Hebei University of Economics and Business (HEBE) is one of the key universities under construction in Hebei Province. It is a multidisciplinary university of finance and economics, mainly focusing on economics, management and law, as well as literature, science, engineering and art.

It was founded in 1953 as the Shijiazhuang Cooperative School of Supply and Marketing Cooperative of Hebei Province. In 1995, it was formed by the merger of Hebei Institute of Finance and Economics, Hebei Institute of Economics and Trade, and Hebei College of Commerce.

As of September 2017, the university covers an area of more than 2950 mu, with a green area of more than 40%. The university is divided into three campuses: North Campus, South Campus and West Campus. The main campus of the university is located in the North Campus, which mainly offers undergraduate, postgraduate and international students education. There are 15 undergraduate colleges, 4 teaching departments (centers), offering 60 undergraduate programs; There are 9 master's programs in the first-level disciplines, 55 master's programs in the second-level disciplines, 12 professional master's programs, and 3 national first-class discipline construction projects in Hebei Province. In March 2018, four new professional master's degree categories were added; There are more than 31,600 full-time undergraduates, master's degree students and international students (including 10,160 students from independent colleges), and more than 29,600 students of continuing education. There are 1,964 faculty members, including 1,110 full-time teachers.
