英語閱讀：Foreign Exchange

除非你的英語學習目前依然處于簡單模仿所學的英語原句，否則，上升到“英語思維”層面後後，“使用英語”就成了主要訓練目标，此時，再用中文“學”英語，“說”英語，就會同時失去給你“用”英語“說”英語的機會和鍛煉。

一、假設我們的“學習”已經不再停留在讓老師帶你簡單模仿強化記憶下面的英語，怎麼“學”？

Foreign exchange：I'd like to change some euro into US dollars.

Cashier：Hi. May I help you?

Paul Ryefield：Yes. What´s the buying rate for euro?

Cashier：1.15 U.S. dollars to the euro.

Paul Ryefield：Okay. I´d like to change some euro into US dollars, please.

Cashier：Sure. How much would you like to change?

Paul Ryefield：Six hundred euro.

Cashier：Very good. May I see your passport?

Paul Ryefield：Here you are.

Cashier：How would you like your bills?

Paul Ryefield：In fifties please.

舉個例子，假如不允許你用中文“外币兌換”“才能懂Foreign exchange“什麼意思？”，你該“說”什麼英語？你有哪些“學過的”，或“已知的”英語可以讓你“說”起來，“用”起來？

二、“學”英語，“讀”英語是為了“用”英語：

1) Foreign Exchange：I'd like to change some euro into US dollars.

1.Okay.I got you.If we want to change some money into another kind of cash,or if we want to buy sone foreign cash,we call that foreign exchange.

為什麼不把英語change some euro into US dollars用起來“讀懂理解”英語foreign exchange，而非得用它的中文“才能懂”呢？

2. Okay.I got you.When I want to buy some US dollors,I'll say：I'd like to change some euro into US dollars.

我們也可以這樣在“用”英語過程中“學會”英語：

3. Okay.I got you.Next time,or in the future when I want to buy some US dollors,I'll say something like：I'd like to change some euro into US dollars.

2) May I help you?

Okay.I got you.If some customers come into my shop,I'll say：May I help you? That means How may I help you,What can I do for you,etc.

這樣“學”，不就把學過的英語“用”起來，起到“溫故知新”的效果了嗎？

3) What's the buying rate for euro?

1.Okay.I got you.When we say Whst's the exchanging rate for euro,we can also say：What's the buying rate for euro?

2.Buying rate means exchanging rate

這樣就達到了用英語學英語，用英語理解英語的目的，不需要把buying rate翻譯成中文“才懂”，卻想不起說不出(已知)英語exchanging rate

3) Buying rate

I got you.Buying rate means How much euro can buy one US dollar.For example.1.15 U.S. dollars to the euro.

4) May I see your passport?

Okay.I got you.You must show your passport/produce your passport when you're exchanging foreign money/cash.

5) Here you are.

不要把這句英語翻譯成中文“才能懂”，“才能記住”

Okay.I got you.I'll say Here you're,or Here you go when I pass/give something to someone.

6) How would you like your bills? In fifties please.

Okay.I got you.If I need twenty dollar bills,ten dollar bills,fifty dollar bills,I'll say：in tens,in twenties,in fifties,and so on.
