小毛怪系列繪本我們之前分享了幾個，今天還是這個系列中的故事，名字叫《Just For You》，第一人稱的表達，讓主人公小毛怪的形象更接地氣，讀起來更有親切感，這一次，她想為媽媽做些特别的事情，但不總是事事順利，還可能把它搞砸了，但是媽媽一定從中感受到了他的用心。

在生活裡，細心觀察，孩子們其實都很努力在愛着我們，隻是我們常常忙于工作忘了去接收孩子愛的信号，也沒有及時給孩子以回應。真正的愛，要靠眼睛去看，用心去體會。

This morning I wanted to make breakfast just for you...

今天早上我想為你做頓早餐...

but the eggs were too slippery.

可是雞蛋太滑了。

I wanted to wash the floor just for you,

我想為你拖幹淨地闆，

but the soap was too bubbly.

但是肥皂太多泡泡了。

I wanted to put away the dishes just for you,

我想為你收拾好這些餐具，

but the floor was too wet.

但是地面太濕了。

I wanted to carry the groceries just for you,

我想為你拿購買的東西，

but the bag broke.

但是袋子壞了。

I ate my sandwich just for you,

我想為你吃掉我的三明治，

but not my crusts.

但是不包括上面的面包皮。

I wanted to take a nap just for you,

為了你我想睡個午覺，

but the bed was too bouncy.

但是床太有彈性了。

I wanted to mow the lawn just for you,

為了你我想修剪草坪，

but I was too little.

但是我還太小了。

I picked an apple just for you,

我為你摘一個蘋果，

but on the way home I got hungry.

但是在回家路上我餓了。

I wanted to set the table just for you,

我想為你收拾桌子，

but the TV was too loud.

但是電視聲音太大了。

I wanted to not splash in my bath just for you...

為了你我不想在浴缸裡濺出水來...

but there was a storm.

可是下暴雨了。

I wanted to do something very special,

我想做些特别的事情，

just for you.

為了你。

And I did it.

我做到了。
