很多小夥伴在家裡都會随手做做家務。

做家務，我們英文說do housework。

常見的一些housework的英文表達我們稍微總結一下。

比如說：

Mop the floor 拖地

Sweep the floor 掃地

Wipe the table 擦桌子

Do the laundry 洗衣服

那既然說到do the laundry，本期我們要學一個也跟do相關的家務。

dish是盤子，但do the dishes可不是做盤子！可是你天天在家做！

其實do the dishes在一定程度上和wash the dishes是一樣的，也就是洗盤子。

當然這是對于勤勞的人來說。

因為對于一些懶惰的人，比如說大汪，如果你跟他說wash the dishes，那他可能真的就隻是用水和洗潔精把盤子一洗，其他前後事情都不管了。

而do the dishes暗含的意思如下。

Doing the dishes may include clearing the dishes from the eating area, and may involve using a dishwasher machine, or hand washing and/or drying and putting the dishes away.

可以看出do the dishes，一般可能包含的就是clear the dishe也就是把盤子從桌上清理一下。

然後用dishwasher洗碗機來洗或者handwash dishes手洗盤子。

接下來dry the dishes把盤子擦幹。

最後put the dishes away把盤子放回原處。（put away強調把東西放回原處哦）

像咔咔這麼勤勞的人，洗盤子肯定就是上面這幾大道工序全部都走一遍。

甚至最後把櫥櫃都擦一遍，wipe the kitchen cupboard。

既然說到了do the dishes這個表達，我們來看一看，其實在做家務/日常事務的英語表達中經常會用到do這個單詞，看一下下面的這些英語搭配吧。

Wash clothes = do the laundry洗衣服

Go shopping = do the/some shopping 逛個街買個東西

Clean the room = do (some) cleaning / do housework做點清掃/做家務

Get a manicure = do my nails.做指甲

Style my hair = do my hair.給頭發凹造型
