在六年級上冊英語詞彙辨析中，有個很重要的考點是關于兩個“前面”，分别是in front of 和 in the front of。
in front of 指的是範圍外的前面。
什麼叫範圍外呢，我們來看圖片中的女人，她站在公交車的前面，這個女人和公交車都是兩個獨立的個體，而女人在公交車的外面的前面，沒有在公交車的裡面，這個就叫做範圍外的前面.
所以我們可以這樣表達，The woman is in front of the bus.女人在公交車的前面。
再例如：There is a big tree in front of the house. 房子的前面有一棵大樹。
The hospital is in front of the school. 醫院在學校的前面。
in the front of 指的是範圍内的前面。
什麼叫範圍内呢，我們來看圖片中的司機，他坐在公交車的前面，這個司機雖然和公交車都是兩個獨立的個體，但司機在公交車的裡面的前面，而不是在公交車的外面，這個就叫做範圍内的前面.
所以我們可以這樣表達，The driver is in the front of the bus.司機在公交車的前面。
再例如：There is a blackboard in the front of the classroom.教室的前面有一個黑闆。
The teacher is standing in the front of the classroom.老師正站在教室的前面。
做題技巧：
在看到橫線讓你選擇填寫 in front of 還是 in the front of 的時候，主要判斷句子中的兩樣人或物所處在的位置關系。如果是範圍外的前面使用 in front of，如果是範圍内的前面則使用 in the front of。
