湖南省屬公辦高等院校

衡陽師範學院（Hengyang Normal University）位于全國重要交通樞紐、國家老工業基地、曆史文化名城——衡陽市，是一所經國家教育部批準成立的湖南省屬公辦全日制普通本科高等院校，為“湖南省2011計劃”立項建設高校，全國“應用技術大學（學院）聯盟”成員單位，入選教育部首批新工科研究與實踐項目。

學校辦學曆史肇始于1904年創辦的湖南官立南路師範學堂。1999年3月，經教育部批準，衡陽師範高等專科學校、衡陽教育學院合并組建衡陽師範學院。2001年2月，湖南省第三師範學校并入。2006年學校以優異成績完成教育部本科教學水平評估。2018年5月，國務院學位委員會批準學校為碩士學位授予單位。

截至2018年6月，學校校園環境優美，是湖南省“園林式單位”和“文明高校”，東、西兩個校區面積共2166畝。現有20個二級學院，53個本科專業，1個一級學科碩士學位授權點，2個碩士專業學位授權點，全日制在校學生2.1萬多人，面向全國30個省（直轄市、自治區）招生。

The history of the school began in 1904 with the establishment of Hunan Guanli South Road Normal School. In March 1999, approved by the Ministry of Education, Hengyang Normal College, Hengyang College of Education merged to form Hengyang Normal College. In February 2001, the Third Normal School of Hunan Province was merged into it. In 2006, the university completed the evaluation of undergraduate teaching level issued by the Ministry of Education with excellent results. In May 2018, the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council approved the university as a master's degree awarding institution.

As of June 2018, the university has a beautiful campus environment and is a "garden-style unit" and a "civilized university" in Hunan Province, with two campuses in the east and west covering a total area of 2,166 mu. There are 20 second-level colleges, 53 undergraduate programs, 1 master's degree program in first-level disciplines, and 2 master's degree programs in first-level disciplines. There are more than 21,000 full-time students in the university, and the university recruits students from 30 provinces (municipalities directly under the Central Government and autonomous regions) in China.
