類似地：請注意tear(眼淚)一詞，有的考生對此是這樣推理的：“眼淚”即“淚水”，而“淚水”是一種水，水不可數，所以“眼淚”(tear)不可數。但事實上，tear在通常情況下卻是一個可數名詞。如：
He was moved to tears. 他被感動得流了淚。
