英語一般将來時表達的是将來要發生的事，如：I will go to Beijing tomorrow. 但是将來也有一些特殊的形式，表達不同的意思，今天我們一起來學習一下。
例句1：I think it is going to rain.
我想很可能要下雨了。（表達的可能性）
例句2：Watch out! That coffee is going to boiling over.
小心!咖啡要煮沸溢出來了。（表達說話者的确定性）
例句3：When are you going to show me your new house?
你打算什麼時候帶我去看你的新房子?（表達意願）
另外值得注意的是，當表達一定會發生的事情時，不可以用be going to 的句型。
（錯） My son is going to be 18 next Monday.
我兒子下周一就18歲了，應該是一個事實，雖然在将來，也不能用此句型。
（錯）I am about to go swimming this afternoon.
請注意，它的否定形式 be not about to do 不是表達将來，而是表達“不想”的意思， 相當于 be unwilling to do。
例句4：I am not about to lend you books any more.
我不想再借書給你了。
例句5：I am not about to give up.
我不想放棄。
