1. Each other/ one another

each other 表示兩者彼此； one another 表示三者或者三者以上彼此

（1）The two students like each other. 這兩個學生彼此都很喜歡對方。

（2）The five students hate one another. 這五位同學彼此相互讨厭。

（3）It's how we choose to treat one another, and love one another. 而是我們選擇如何對待其他人，如何愛其他人，

2. One after the other 兩者相繼地；one after another 三者或三者以上相繼地

（1）He raised his hands one after the other. 他相繼地舉起左右手。

（2）All the students came in one after another. 所有學生一個接一個地進來。

（3）Each test should be run once to completion, one after another, without repetition of any test. 每個測試都應該運行一次直到結束，一個接一個地運行， 不能重複運行任何測試。

3. Either，neither，both, all, any, none等做代詞的用法

Either （兩者中任一）；Any （三者或以上任一）；

Neither （兩者皆不）；None（三者或以上皆不）；

Both （兩者皆）；All (三者或以上皆)

（1）I don’t care whether you serve coffee or tea; either will do. 你上咖啡也好，茶也好，我都不在乎，随便哪樣都可以。

（2）I don’t like any of the four chairs. 這四把椅子沒有一把是我喜歡的。

（3）Neither of the two books is good. 這兩本書都不好。

（4）None of the three students is / are diligent. 三個學生沒有一個是用功的。

（5）Both of the two students are lazy. 那兩個學生都懶。

（6）All of the five apples are rotten. 這五個蘋果都爛了。

4. One… the other…. 一個…另一個…. (限定的兩者)

He has two sons. One is a teacher, and the other is a solider. 他有兩個兒子，一個是老師，一個是軍人。

5. One…another…the other….一個….一個….另一個…. (限定的三者)

He has three sons. One is a teacher, another is a solider, and the other is a lawyer. 他有三個兒子。一個是老師，一個是軍人，另一個是律師。

6. One…another… 一個…另一個… （非限定的兩者）

Hobbies vary with people. One may enjoy swimming, while another may love hiking. 愛好因人而異。有人可能喜歡遊泳，有人可能喜歡遠足。

7. Some… others…一些…另一些…. (非限定的兩群)

Some things are easy for somebody, but very hard for others. 很多事情對一些人來說很簡單，對另些人來說卻很難。

8. Some…other…still others…. 一些….一些…另一些

Hobbies vary with people. Some may enjoy swimming, others may be fond of bungee jumping, and still others may love hiking. 愛好因人而異。有些人可能喜歡遊泳；有些人可能喜歡蹦極，也有些人則喜歡遠足。

9. 明确數詞…the others/ the rest… 若幹…其他／其餘….

Only two students in my class passed the test. The others failed. 我班上隻有兩個學生通過了考試，其餘全不及格。

10. Every man and woman 與代詞（所有格）的關系

Every man and woman should do their/ his or her best to protect their country. 不論男女每個人都應盡力保衛自己的國家。

One should do one’s duty. 每個人都應克盡己責。
