THE BOSS：Where's Sandra, Bob? I want her.

BOB: Do you want to speak to her?

THE BOSS：Yes, I do. I want her to come to my office. Tell her to come at once.

1）注意前後兩處want her中的t既可以作爆破音的消失處理，也可以直接與her中的-er作擊穿連讀處理，讀作[tə:]。

2）注意want to中want中的t會發生爆破音的消失現象。

3）注意speak中的p會發生濁化，讀作[b]；k會發生爆破音的消失現象。

4）注意如果讀得快的話，Yes和I前後可以連讀。

5）注意Tell her可以作擊穿連讀處理，即tell中的[l]與her中的-er直接連讀作[lə:]。

6）注意come at前後可以連讀。

7）注意at once中的t既可以作爆破音的消失處理，也可以與once中的[w]一起連讀作[tw]。

SANDRA: Did you want to see me?

THE BOSS：Ah, yes, Sandra. How do you spell "intelligent'? Can you tell me?

SANDRA: I-N-T-E-L-L-I-G-E-N-T.

THE BOSS：That's right. You've typed it with only one 'L'. This letter's full of mistakes. I want you to type it again.

SANDRA: Yes, I'll do that. I'm sorry about that.

1）注意Did you可以作同化處理，即Did中的[d]和you中的[j]相鄰，可以一起讀作[dʒ]。

2）注意want to中want中的t會發生爆破音的消失現象。

3）注意typed it前後可以連讀；it中的t會發生爆破音的消失現象。

4）注意with only前後可以連讀。

5）注意one "L"前後可以連讀，因為字母L的發音是以元音[e]開頭的。

6）注意full of前後可以連讀。

7）注意want you前後會發生同化現象，即want中的t和you中的y相鄰，一起讀作[tʃ]。

8）注意type it again前後兩兩可以連讀。

9）注意如果讀得快的話，Yes和I'll前後可以連讀。

10）注意about中的t會發生爆破音的消失現象。

THE BOSS：It's a dictionary. I hope it'll help you.
