• A top student is exactly about being on top of the grades ranking. It concerns the students who get the highest grades in all subjects.
• top student就是在年級排名中名列前茅，涉及的所有科目成績最好的學生。

a straight-A student，這是近年來常見的網路流行語，straight-A 是指每一科成績都拿 A，a straight-A student 則表示這個學生成績超好，很會念書。有本書的書名用到了這個詞：

• 大概意思是：如何成為一名優秀的學生（優等生）。真正的大學生在減少學習的同時使用非常規策略獲得高分

如果要用一個詞來形容一個班級裡最好的學生，你會想到哪個呢？

valedictorian：優秀畢業生，一般是在畢業典禮上緻告别辭的最優秀畢業生

英文解釋：

• a student, usually one who has been the most successful in a particular class, who makes a speech at a special ceremony at the end of a school year.
• 一個學生，通常是一個班級中最成功的學生，在學年結束時的特别儀式上發表演講。
