盡管中高考英語還沒有考查到這點，但我們也要知道句首的不定式——無疑是可以表達條件（從句）的含義的。

不定式分句還能表示條件，通常置于句首。例如：

To listen to him, you should think that no problem whatever existed（什麼問題也沒有）.

To hear him talk, you would think he owned the whole world.

《英語語法大全》（張道真編著下）第590頁1124

(3)作狀語的不定式表示條件。

在不定式這樣用時，謂語中常包含will, shall, should, would, must, can或could這樣的助動詞。

To say such a clever thing, he can’t be a fool.

To see her, you wouldn’t believe she is already forty.

To be really useful, a book must be read several times.

To study music, one must start at six.

外研社《英漢多功能詞典》第2253頁to第9詞條：

to（表條件）一旦……（就會認為）：

To take with him, you would think he is a warm-hearted man, but in fact he isn’t.

一旦你和他聊一下，就會認為他是一個熱心的人，其實不然。

《大學英語語法——講座與測試》第五版第612頁2：

有時候，作主語的不定式相當于一個條件從句。例如：

To love others is to be loved. = If you love others, you will be loved by others.

愛人即愛己。

To build an expressway across the country requires a lot of money.

= If you build an expressway across the country, it will requires a lot of money.

建一條貫通全國的高速公路需要很多錢。

To see her is to love her. 見了她就會愛上她。

= If one loves her, one will love her.

《王國棟國際英語深層語法》第277頁4：

條件狀語：通常置于句首，用逗号隔開。如：

To hear him speak, you would think he owned the whole world.

= If you should hear him speak, you would think he owned the whole world.

所過你要是聽信他講的話，你會認為他擁有全世界。

《英語語法大全》（倫道夫·誇克等著）第1509頁

[g]不定式分句有時同時表示條件和其他相應的關系，如目的和原因：

You’d be a fool not to take the scholarship. [“if you didn’t …”]

To be considered for admission, you must make a formal application.

[“If you are to be considered…”, “In order to be considered…”]

事實上，如果不定式結構置于句首表達“條件（從句）”的含義放入高考英語真題中去考察的話，那麼可以看到有些命題是不嚴謹的。

按照慣例，本屆高考學生還是以to do sth位于句首，可以充當目的狀語，或是作主語這兩種形式為主更好。
