介詞的英文單詞是preposition, pre 是前綴，表示在……前面，position 是位置，含義是表示位置、方位前面的詞是介詞，介詞最初的功能是表示地點方位的，本期我們研究表地點的介詞。

知識助記: 裡面in 上面on, over、under垂直上下方 在；

before 、in front of 是在前，behind 就是在後邊；

斜上above 、below 反，beside 、near 、at 、by 在旁邊；

來自from 、朝前to, 表面橫穿across 、裡面穿是through ；

至上onto 進入into, 出去就是out of 。

1、in 在裡面，on 在表面上(接觸)，over 在上方(垂直不接觸)，under 在下方(垂直不接觸)。例如:

in the desk 在桌子裡

on the desk 在桌子上(接觸)

over the desk 在桌子上(垂直不接觸)

under the desk 在桌子下(可接觸也可不接觸)

2、before, in front of 在……前面(不屬于物體本身)。in the front of 在……前面(屬于物體本身)；after 、behind 在……之後，at the back of 在……之後(可指事物内部後面，也可以指外部的後面)。

There is a blackboard in the front of the classroom. 教室前面有一塊黑闆。(内部前面)

There is a tall tree in front of the classroom. 教室前有一顆高樹。(外部前面)

3、above 在……之上(斜着)，below 在……之下(斜着)；beside 在……旁邊，at 在桌旁；by 在……旁(後面接較長的東西)。例如:

at the table /desk /counter (櫃台)；by the river 在河邊；

4、from 來自 例如:

be from =come from 來自；learn from sb 向某人學習；hear from sb 收到某人來信；suffer from 遭受……痛苦。

5、to 朝……向

go /run /fly /walk to sp

6、across 在表面橫穿 例如:

across the street 橫穿馬路

7、through 在裡面(立體的空間)穿過

through the forest 穿過森林

8、onto 但……上面，into 進入，out of 出去

jump onto the table 跳到桌子上，

jump into the river 挑

jump out of the river 跳出水面
