#1. Adulting

大家都知道adult是成年人的意思。

但是這個詞現在被美國年輕人作為動詞使用了。

什麼意思？

• Adulting (v): to do grown up things and hold responsibilities such as, a 9-5 job, a mortgage/rent or anything else that makes one think of grown ups.

• Adulting (v): 長大成人、擔負起成年人的責任。比如有穩定的工作、自己付房貸、房租等等。

怎麼用？

• Adulting is so hard! I miss my college days: 做成年人好幸苦啊！真懷念大學的日子。

#2. Sorry not sorry

這個說法我們說sorry的節目中介紹過。

是美國年輕人在日常生活和社交媒體上特别愛用的說法！

什麼意思？

• Fake apologies are part of the ethos when you are a Millennial. Even when you are saying sorry, you are not actually sorry.

• 無需理由、不需道歉是美國年輕人的生活态度。就算嘴上說sorry, 心裡根本不是這麼想的。

怎麼用？

• My parents want me to become a doctor. But I want to be a rock star. Sorry not sorry: 我父母想讓我當醫生，但是我想搞音樂。Sorry not sorry.

什麼意思？

• JOMO: joy of missing out, 享受錯過的樂趣。

• 前幾年的熱詞是FOMO (fear of missing out)：怕錯過潮流。不過FOMO已經過時了。現在要JOMO, 做自己、不跟風。

怎麼用？

A: I waited in line for 2 hours to get a cup of Xicha. It wasn't even that good.

我排了兩個小時的隊買喜茶。結果一點也不好喝。

B: Lucky I didn't wait in line. JOMO!

還好我沒去排。JOMO!

#4. I can't even

什麼意思？

Losing interest, losing patience, at a loss for words, or pretty annoyed about something: 提不起興趣、失去耐心、無語、厭煩

怎麼用？

這句短語不是完整的句子。但這就是重點，因為你已經無語了。

I can't even...無語了

B: Oh, I can't even... 别提了，叫我從何說起 ......

什麼意思？

A tough problem or real hardship, a difficult situation or choice: 艱難、困難的局面，非常糾結

怎麼用？

2 things a girl wants: 1) lose weight 2) eat. 每個女生都想要的兩件事：減肥和吃。

The struggle is real. So real! 真是糾結、太糾結了！

什麼意思？

• Bae: 愛人間的昵稱， babe, baby的更新版。男女之間都能互相稱呼。

• 發音是[beɪ]

怎麼用？

• I'm planning a surprise birthday party for my bae: 我在給我的寶貝兒策劃一個驚喜生日派對

什麼意思？

• V: very

這個很簡單，就是very非常的意思。

怎麼用？

發短信、發消息的時候常用。

A: Are you going on a holiday soon? 你要去度假了嗎？

B: Yup! I'm v excited! 對啊，超激動！

#8. Perf

什麼意思？

• Perf (perfect): 完美

怎麼用？

• Nobody's perf: 沒有人是完美的

• TBH (to be honest): 說實話、老實說

怎麼用？

年輕人說口語，常會直接說字母的縮寫

什麼意思？

• Side hustle: 開展各類副業，不論是開專車、接私活，總之為更好的生活打拼
