寶寶，你想畫畫麼？這句話英文怎麼說？

呃，我不知道該用draw還是Paint。這兩個詞到底有什麼區别？

Draw指的是用鉛筆、鋼筆畫輪廓，用彩色鉛筆、水彩筆塗顔色，用粉筆在黑闆上作畫，在手機遊戲中畫畫等，并非用顔料（paint）作畫的方式。而paint指用顔料作畫。所以，你可以對寶寶說：Do you want to draw? 你想畫畫麼？Do you want to paint? 你想用顔料畫畫麼？

同理，drawing指的是用鉛筆、鋼筆等工具畫的畫，而painting指的是用顔料畫的畫。

下文以塗顔色為例，教您陪寶寶畫畫時的親子情景英文。

1. I printed some pictures for you. Do you want to color them?

我給你打印了幾張畫。你想塗顔色麼？

速寫和素描叫做sketch。小雅問過很多英語國家的朋友sketch到底是速寫還是素描，我向他們描述了一種是用簡單的線條非常快的畫完，另一種可以用鉛筆塗陰影，但依舊不塗顔色，可以用較長時間畫完。他們都表示，都叫做sketch。後來小雅又做了些研究，發現區分速寫和素描的繪畫教學法，是來自蘇聯并傳至中國的，其他歐洲國家和美國沒有采用。（解釋不當之處，歡迎專業人士在評論中補充）

2. What tools do you want to use? Colored pencils, crayons, markers or paint?

你想用什麼畫？彩色鉛筆、蠟筆、水彩筆，還是顔料？

亦可稱彩色鉛筆為pencil crayons。

3. Paint? No problem. Let me get you your palette ['pælit], paint, brushes, brush cup and easel ['i:zəl].

用顔料？沒問題。我去給你拿調色盤、顔料、刷子、涮刷子的杯子，還有畫架。

4. Let me help you put on your apron ['eprən] and sleeves.

我幫你把圍裙和套袖戴上。

5. It's a bit dark here. Do you want to move to the window or should I turn on the light?

這兒有點黑。你想挪到窗戶那邊麼，還是我把燈打開？

6. After you squeeze the paint, remember to put the cap back on.

你擠完顔料，記得把帽兒蓋上。

Cap：帽兒，亦可用lid，蓋兒。

7. If you want to change colors, rinse your brush in the cup.

你要是想換顔色，就在杯子裡涮涮筆。

8. The water is too dirty now. Please pour it out and fill the cup with clean water.

水太髒了。你把水倒掉，往杯子裡接點幹淨水吧。

9. Try not to paint outside the lines.

别塗出邊了。

10. The way you are holding the brush is not quite right. Let me adjust it a bit.

你握筆姿勢不太對。我幫你調整一下。

11. Uh-oh, you are running out of purple paint. Don't worry, you can make purple by mixing red and blue.

噢喔，你的紫色顔料不夠用了。沒事，你可以用紅色和藍色調出紫色。

12. Red, yellow and blue are primary colors, and orange, green and purple are secondary colors. Two primary colors can make a secondary color.

紅黃藍是原色，橙綠紫是間色。兩種原色能配出一種間色。

13. Finished? Let me take a look at your work.

畫完了？我來看看你的作品。

14. Oh, don't forget to sign your name on the bottom right corner.

别忘了在右下角簽上你的名字。

15. It's perfect. Let's frame your painting and hang it on the wall.
