萬聖節剛剛過去，在把孩子裝扮成各種可愛的鬼怪的時候，我們又看到了這套女巫溫妮，拿出來又開開心心地讀了一遍。

　　女巫溫妮總是充滿着天馬行空般的想象力和幽默感，小編覺得這個作者和插畫家真是太厲害了，構思真是巧妙，女巫溫妮，不隻讓小朋友們着迷，更是深受我們家長的喜愛。

　　今天，我們來讀讀Winnie's Dinosaur Day （溫妮的恐龍日）(中文譯本：溫妮和恐龍）：

　　Winnie the Witch and her big black cat Wilbur loved to visit the museum.

　　女巫溫妮和她的大黑貓威爾伯都喜歡參觀博物館。

　　It was full of fascinating things.

　　博物館裡有很多讓人着迷的東西。

　　There were bugs and beetles and creepy crawlies and slinky snakes.

　　這裡有像甲蟲這樣的昆蟲，還有像蛇這樣讓人不寒而栗的爬行動物。

　　There were buttons to push, levers to pull, and games to play.

　　在這裡，你可以按按鈕、拉控制杆，還能玩各種各樣好玩兒的遊戲。

　　But best of all was the dinosaur room.

　　但博物館裡最棒的還是恐龍館。

　　Winnie and Wilbur liked to look at the bones and footprints and models.

　　溫妮和威爾伯最喜歡看恐龍的骨架、腳印和模型了。

　　"I'd love to see a real dinosaur one day," Winnie always said.

　　“要是哪天能看見真正的恐龍就好了。”溫妮常常這麼說。

　　And Wilbur always thought, "I'm glad I'll never see a real dinosaur."

　　威爾伯卻總是想：“真高興我永遠都看不見真正的恐龍！”

　　One day, when Winnie and Wilbur were flying home from the library, Winnie looked down and saw a big crowd of people in the museum courtyard.

　　一天，溫妮正帶着威爾伯從圖書館往家飛。突然，她看到一大群人聚在博物館的院子裡。

　　"Whatever's happening there?" asked Winnie, and she flew down to have a look.

　　“出什麼事了？”溫妮非常好奇。于是，她朝下面飛去，想要看個究竟。

　　There, in the courtyard, was an enormous skeleton.

　　院子裡放着一副巨大的骨架。

　　It was dinosaur week at the museum, and there was a special competition...

　　原來，博物館正在舉辦恐龍周活動，還有一場特别比賽……

　　"Special Competition

　　特别比賽

　　Draw a picture or make a model to show what the skeleton looked like when it was a dinosaur. And win a prize!"

　　畫一幅畫或者做一個模型，還原這副恐龍骨架的真實面貌，即有機會赢取大獎！”

　　Winnie loved winning prizes.

　　溫妮最喜歡赢獎品了。

　　She looked carefully at the skeleton.

　　她仔細地觀察着那副骨架。

　　It was very, very big, with lots of spiky bits.

　　它非常非常大，上面有許多尖尖的骨頭。

　　Winnie couldn't decide whether to do a picture or a model, and she couldn't decide what the dinosaur might have looked like.

　　是畫畫呢，還是做模型呢？溫妮拿不定主意。她也想不出這隻恐龍原來到底長什麼樣子。

　　"It's too hard, Wilbur," Winnie said.

　　“威爾伯，這太難了！”溫妮說。

　　But she really wanted to win the prize.

　　可她真的很想赢得這份大獎。

　　Then Winnie had an idea.

　　這時，溫妮想到了一個主意。

　　"Jump on my shoulder, Wilbur," said Winnie, and they zoomed up into the sky and back to Winnie's house.

　　“威爾伯，跳到我的肩膀上來！”溫妮說道。他們騎着飛天掃帚嗖的一聲朝溫妮家裡飛去。

　　Winnie got out her Big Book of Spells.

　　溫妮拿出她的《魔法大全》。

　　"Yes!" she said.

　　“就這樣！”她說。

　　She shut her eyes, stamped her foot, and shouted, "ABRACADABRA!"

　　她閉上眼睛，跺了跺腳，然後大喊一聲——“阿布拉卡達布拉！”

　　There was a flash of fire, a great WHOOOSH...

　　火焰騰空而起，然後呼的一聲……

　　And Winnie and Wilbur were back in the time of the dinosaurs.

　　溫妮和威爾伯一下子回到了恐龍時代。

　　There were dinosaurs everywhere.

　　到處都是恐龍—

　　Big dinosaurs, enormous dinosaurs, gigantic dinosaurs!

　　大恐龍、特大恐龍，還有超級大恐龍！

　　Winnie and Wilbur hid in a tree.

　　溫妮和威爾伯躲到了一棵樹上。

　　"Now all we have to do is find a dinosaur that looks like the skeleton," said Winnie. "That should be easy."

　　“我們現在要找到一隻跟那副骨架很相像的恐龍。”溫妮說，“應該很容易吧！”

　　"Meeow," said Wilbur.

　　“喵嗚。”威爾伯應了一聲。

　　He didn't like the time of the dinosaurs.

　　他不喜歡恐龍時代。

　　Winnie looked around carefully.

　　溫妮仔細地環顧四周。

　　"There it is!" she shouted. "Of course. It's a triceratops. Look at its three horns, Wilbur."

　　“那兒有一隻！”她叫起來，“沒錯，是一隻三角龍。威爾伯，快看它的三個角！”

　　"Meeeoow!" said Wilbur.

　　“喵——嗚！”威爾伯驚叫起來。

　　He didn't want to look. He wanted to go home.

　　他可不想看什麼恐龍。他隻想回家。

　　Winnie got out her drawing book and her coloured pencils. It was much easier drawing a real dinosaur.

　　溫妮拿出她的畫本和彩色鉛筆，照着真恐龍來畫就容易多了。

　　Her drawing looked exactly like the triceratops.

　　她畫的三角龍簡直就和真的一模一樣。

　　Well, it looked quite like the triceratops.

　　嗯，也不是，隻能說看起來比較像三角龍。

　　"This is an excellent drawing," said Winnie. "It's sure to win the prize."

　　“這幅畫真是棒級了！”溫妮高興地說，“肯定能得獎。”

　　"But now we need to get back to the museum. I know! The triceratops can take us."

　　“不過，我們要先回到博物館去。有了！可以讓三角龍帶我們回去。”

　　"Meeeoow!" said Wilbur. He puts his paws over his eyes.

　　“喵——嗚！”威爾伯大叫一聲，用爪子捂住了眼睛。

　　Winnie picked him up, jumped onto the dinosaur's back, waved her magic wand, and shouted, "ABRACADABRA!"

　　溫妮抱起威爾伯，跳到三角龍的背上，然後揮動魔法棒，大喊一聲——“阿布拉卡達布拉！”

　　And the dinosaur WHOOSHED off to the museum.

　　三角龍嗖的一下飛向了博物館。

　　Professor Perkins was getting ready to present the prize when the dinosaur landed in the courtyard.

　　此時，珀金斯教授正要準備頒獎，一隻恐龍忽然落到了院子裡。

　　Everybody was very surprised!

　　所有人都驚呆了！

　　"Well," said Professor Perkins, "I think we all know who has won the competition."

　　“好了，”珀金斯教授說，“我想現在大家都知道誰是這場比賽的赢家了吧。”

　　And he gave a big shiny medal to the triceratops.

　　珀金斯教授把亮閃閃的大獎頒給了三角龍。

　　The dinosaur was delighted.

　　三角龍高興極了。

　　He had never won a prize before.

　　他還從來沒有得過獎呢！

　　Winnie didn't mind too much.

　　溫妮雖然沒有得獎，卻并不在意。

　　Then Winnie and Wilbur took the dinosaur home for tea.

　　溫妮和威爾伯把三角龍帶回了家，還請他吃茶點。

　　The dinosaur didn't like sandwiches or muffins or cakes.

　　可三角龍不喜歡三明治，也不喜歡松餅和蛋糕。

　　But he enjoyed eating Winnie's trees and her roses were delicious.

　　他最喜歡吃的竟然是溫妮家的樹，除此之外，他覺得那些玫瑰花也很美味。

　　"Oh dear," Winnie said. "He'll eat my whole garden! It's a pity he's so big, Wilbur. He's such a nice dinosaur."

　　“噢，天啊！”溫妮說，“他會把整個花園都吃掉的！威爾伯，他真是一直不錯的恐龍，隻可惜太大了。”

　　Then Winnie had a wonderful idea.

　　突然，溫妮想到了一個絕妙的好主意。

　　She waved her magic wand, shouted, "ABRACADABRA!"

　　她揮動魔法棒，大喊一聲——“阿布拉卡達布拉！”

　　And the enormous dinosaur was a tiny dinosaur.

　　超級大恐龍變成了超級小恐龍。

　　So now Winnie never has to cut her grass.

　　這下，溫妮再也不用修剪草坪了，

　　And Wilbur has a playmate that is just the right size!

　　而威爾伯也有了一個大小剛剛好的玩伴！
