　　1). be engaged to

　　They broke off their engagement. 他們解除了婚約。 3). engagement ring 訂婚戒指

　　I got an engagement ring on Christmas Day.聖誕節我戴上了訂婚戒指。 ❆

　　結 婚

　　1). marry sb.

　　She married an American.她嫁給了一個美國人。She tried everything to marry into money.為了嫁入豪門, 她想盡了辦法。 2). be/get married to sb 與某人結婚

　　He is about to get married to Marry. 他即将和瑪麗結婚。 3). wed sb.

　　He thought I was too poor to wed his sister.他認為我太窮, 不配娶他的妹妹。 4). tie the knot

　　結婚的又一種表達方式, 常譯為"永結同心"。

　　I can't believe Jim is going to tie the knot! He seems too young to get married.我不相信吉姆準備結婚了。他看起來太年輕了。 婚禮上常用到的英語句子：

　　I'm so happy you were able to attend our wedding.您能參加婚禮我很高興!I've been waiting for this moment for a long time。我等待這一刻已經很久了。The groom and bride are perfect for each other.新郎和新娘真是天生的一對。Congratulations on your marriage!恭喜你們喜結良緣！
