有時候，

當我們為某事而犯難或是到了危機關頭，

為自己而懊惱時會經常說：

“我完了！”或“我完蛋了！”

這時，

用英語你會怎麼說？

"I'm over"?

不好意思，

這是中式英語的說法，

歪果仁聽到了可要笑翻了！

比如大家常常說的：

“How are you?”、

“I'm fine. Thank you. And you?”

其實，在美國，

大家常用的卻是

“How are you doing?"

或者”What's up？”

“我完了” ≠ “I'm over”，為什麼？

在I'm over中，

over作為形容詞，

與Finished (結束)同義。

I'm over是在說自己over了，

而“我完蛋了”是因為某件事over了，

自己發出的感慨。

我們不能說某人over了，

而應該說某件事over了。

故I'm over的表達是不正确的。

This semester is over.

這學期結束了。

那“我完蛋了”

到底該怎麼地道地表達呢？

根據不同的情況

有幾種不同的表達：

screwed：搞砸的，有麻煩的。

（可以用來朋友間的幸災樂禍）

My boss asked me to finish this task before 14:00, but I just got started.

老闆讓我下午兩點之前完成任務,然而我才剛開始。

How was your interview?

面試怎麼樣？

Oh, I was screwed.

我搞砸了。

I'm done.

說這句話的時候，

帶有強烈的語氣，

表示内心極其的沮喪和失望。

She is laughing. I'm done.

她在笑。我完了。

I'm done, " thought Robinson, there he is as black as thunder."

“我完了，”魯賓遜想，“他臉色如此可怕。

I'm really in trouble.

當你有麻煩時，完蛋了，

可以說：

someone's really in trouble.

Oh, I forgot to remind the boss for the meeting.

我忘記提醒老闆開會了。

You're in trouble now.

你完了！

Hey, look, I'm really in trouble now.

喂，聽着，我現在有麻煩了。

Can you lend me some money?

你能借我點錢嗎？

此外，

除了以上三種地道表達，

"我完了"英語還可以這樣說：

I'm damned！ 我完了！

I'm messed up now！我完了！

I'm dead ≠ 我死定了（我完蛋了）

當說 I'm dead.時，

實際上是在說：

you say I'm dead when something is so funny that you laughed hard and you died.

當你說 “I'm dead”，是在說某事如此搞笑，你笑的很厲害，那你就完蛋了。

在這裡，

需要注意的是，

you're died.表示的意思是：

你完蛋了，你死定了。

而I'm dead≠我死定了（×）

I'm dead＝我笑死了（√）

因此，使用的時候千萬要分清了。

When I went out of thebathroom I found out it was for women.

當我從洗手間出來才發現我上的是女廁所。

I'm dead. Hahaha.

我笑死了。哈哈哈。
