現在的流行歌曲裡常常出現歌詞：

“嘿 girl，what's up?”或者是“嘿boy...”“找你mama...”

girl 是女孩，boy是男孩，然而有的人就說：“媽媽不是mama，而是mom！ ”

說“mama不過是中國的說法而已，為此還争得面紅耳赤的...”

mama 不是媽媽？小編打算來一探究竟！

在我們大中國，媽媽就是母親，英文一般稱之為“mom”,這點沒錯

Mum是口語啦 ..

mother 就是正式語中

與别人對話時就稱為我的媽媽(my mother)如何如何了..

mum 這個是比較普通的叫法

mom 美式口語的叫法

ma 這是我最近在教材中節選的美國小說裡看到的，應該也是口語用法

mummy 這個我覺得還是不要常用，聽着很可愛，可是另一個意思卻是：木乃伊。

mother 也是媽媽的意思，不過相對正式一點，所以中文一般翻譯為母親
