look 這個單詞很簡單，好記好寫。但是它的動詞搭配卻比較多，需要挨個去記，每一個搭配我都會配上例句，方便各位同學記憶。

1、look at

①看着（某人、某物）——最常見用法。

Don't look at me！别看我！

Look at the blackboard，kids. 看黑闆， 孩子們。

② 看待(某事)

We should learn to look at problems all-sidedly. 我們應該全面地看待問題。

How do you look at yourself? 你怎麼看待自己？

③考慮(某事)

They refused to look at my advice. 他們拒絕考慮我的建議。

Could you please look at it again? 你能再考慮一下它嗎？

④檢查（某物）

He came to look at the drainage. 他是來檢查排水 設備的。

Please look at your paper before handing in. 在上交之前請檢查你的卷子。

2、look about/around

①環顧四周,随便看看，到處看看——最常見用法。

Since you are new here, please look about the company first. 因為你是新來的，可以先在公司四處看看。

I’m just looking around. 我隻是随便看看。

②考慮

Please look about the issue carefully before you make the decision.

先仔細考慮這個重要議題，然後再作決定

3、look after sb./ sth.

照顧（某人/某物），照料（某人/某物），關心（某人/某物）

Please look after your sister when I am out. 我在外面的時候請照顧你的妹妹。

Linda is looking after the luggage. Linda在照看行李?

4、look for sb./sth.

尋找（某物/某事）

I am looking for my pen everywhere, but I can't find it. 我到處找我的鋼筆，但是我沒找到它。

She is looking for a new history book. 她在找一本新的曆史書。

5、look down on（upon）sb./ sth.

瞧不起某人/某事

Don't look down on the poor. 不要瞧不起窮人。

The boy looked down upon girls. 那個男孩瞧不起女孩子們。

6、look like sth./sb.

看起來像某人/某物

She looks like her mom. 她看起來像她媽媽。

The twins look like each other. 那對雙胞胎看起來很像彼此。

7、①look up sth. in swh.

查閱…在…中，查找

Look up the new word in the dictionary. 這個生詞查查詞典吧。

②look up sb.=visit sb.

看望(某人)，拜訪(某人)，找(某人)

I look up my friend on Sunday. 我周日去看一位朋友。

③look up to sb.

尊敬( 某人),仰慕（某人），欽佩（某人）

People should look up to their parents. 人們應該尊敬父母。

We should always look up to our teacher. 我們應該尊重我們的老師。

8、look over sth.

審閱(某物)，檢查(某物)

Would you mind looking over my homework? 請你幫我看一下我的家庭作業好嗎?

I will look over my left leg in the hospital. 我要去那個醫院檢查我的左腿。

9、look through sth.

翻閱(某物)，浏覽(某物)

Before breakfast he looked through the newspaper.

早飯前他把報紙看了一遍。

Look through your notes before the examination.

考試前翻翻你的筆記。

10、look into sth.

調查(某事)，研究(某事)

We’ll look into that case right away. 我們會馬上調查那樁案件。

The police are looking into the cause of the accident. 警方正調查事故原因。

11、look forward to n./doing

期待…，盼望…

We’re looking forward to coming here again. 我們盼望下次再來。

The kids are looking forward to your visit. 孩子們都盼望着你的到來。

12、①look back on sth.

回顧(某事)，回想(某事)

I always look back on the past when I am free. 我閑下來的時候總是回想往事。

②look back

停滞，畏縮，倒退(通常用于否定句)

No matter how difficult it is，he never looked back. 不論多難，他絕不畏縮。

13.、①look out of Sth.

向(某物)外看

Don’t look out of the window when I talk to you. 我跟你講話的時候别往窗外看。

②look out

向外看，注意，當心，小心

He sometimes stood at the window and looked out. 他站在窗前向外望。

If you don’t look out, you’ll get hurt. 你若不當心，你會受傷的。

③look out sth.in sth.

從(某處)找出（某物），從(某處)裡挑選出（某物）

We looked out his address in the telephone directory.

我們在電話簿裡查到了他的地址。

She looked out a pair of pretty shoes in the closet. 她在儲藏室找出一雙漂亮的鞋子。
