有海外留學計劃的同學，無論是大學出去讀還是中小學就出去讀，提前學習一下海外的課程對将來留學有很大幫助。其實有些同學已經在同步學習海外相應年級的課程了。我們會用幾期内容來講解一些幾何知識，截取一些英文概念，幫助大家适應英文教學内容。

第一期的内容是關于圓的性質和定理，一共有8個，大家先看英文描述，再看中文翻譯複習一遍。

Angles in the same segment and standing on the same chord are always equal.

首先要理解segment的含義，線段可以稱為segment，圓上切下一塊也叫segment。圓上同弦且位于同一側的圓周角度數總是相等的。

The angle in the semi-circle is always 90°.

半圓上的圓周角總是90度。

A line drawn from the centre of a circle to the mid-point of a chord is perpendicular to the chord.

從圓心到弦的中點的直線垂直于該弦。mid-point意思是中點，perpendicular to是垂直的意思，chord是圓的弦。

tangents from a common point to a circle are always equal in length.

從一點到圓的切線，該點到切點的兩個線段長度總是相等的。tangent是切線。

The angle at the centre of a circle is twice the angle at the circumference.

圓心角是圓周角的兩倍。circumference是指圓周。

ABCD is a cyclic quadrilateral, all vertices lie on the circumference of the circle. Diagonally opposite angles add up to 180°.

cyclic quadrilateral是指四個點都在圓上的四邊形，diagonally opposite angles是指對角線方向相對的2個角，對角之和是180°。

The angle between the tangent and the radius is always 90°.

切線和半徑的夾角總是90°。

The angle between the tangent and the side of the triangle is equal to the interior opposite angle.

（三角形外接圓），切線與三角形一邊的夾角等于内部對側的角。
