孩子小時候，做家務很有熱情，常常自豪地說，我在幫助媽媽。但是稍大一點，就變的懶惰，不想幹家務。父母有必要教導他們負責，從小養成好習慣。不要隻關心他們的學習，而忽視其他方面的發展。我們的孩子需要是一個學習好，同時也是懂禮貌、會負責、會感恩、健康、快樂的孩子。

讓孩子幫助做家務，應當有這樣的原則：

1. 不要求完美

2. 不吝惜表揚

3. 标準一緻

4. 恒心堅持

我們可以列一個家務清單。下面是在網上找到的一個範本，大家可以照着做一個。如果星星都貼滿了，可以給孩子一個獎勵。

下面的句子并沒有分年齡。各位在應用的時候，看你孩子的年齡，自己決定在什麼年齡幹什麼家務是合适的。

Now you are older, you should help me sweep the floors.

Put your toys away.

Can you help mom mop the floor?

廚房幫忙

Help me do the dishes.

Now you're 7, you're stronger, taller, and more careful. You could put away the washed plates. 收拾洗好的盤子

Put them away in the cupboard. 放入碗櫃裡

Mom is going to slice the cucumbers. Can you help me tear all this lettuce into little pieces for a salad? 媽媽要切黃瓜，幫我把這個生菜撕成小塊，我們做沙拉。

Help me peel these oranges.

Dinner will be ready soon; now set the table. 擺桌子

Clear the table. （清理飯桌上的盤子、碗，筷子）

Clean the table. （擦桌子）

Do you see the mess / crumbs under the table? Help me clean up the mess. 飯桌下有碎屑，掃一掃。

洗衣服

Put the dirty clothes in the hamper.

注：basket and hamper 的區别

basket 籃子，沒有蓋子，比較矮

hamper 簍，較高，有蓋子

laundry hamper 髒衣簍

laundry basket 洗完衣服放入籃子裡，拿到陽台去涼。

不過沒有那麼嚴格區分，有人都叫做 laundry basket.

注： 髒衣服一放入簍裡，那衣服就叫作 laundry 了，在洗衣機裡洗好的衣服也叫 laundry, 在晾衣杆上涼的衣服也叫 laundry， 要收起來的衣服也叫 laundry.

The hamper is full. Mary, can you help me put the laundry in the washing machine? 幫我把髒衣服放入洗衣機裡。

Today I'll teach you how to do the laundry. 今天我教你如何洗衣服。

注：do the laundry 的 do 是 wash 的意思，再比如 do the dishes (洗盤子）的 do 也是 wash

Can you hang the laundry to dry it? (注意是 it ，不可數名詞）洗好衣服，把衣服拿到陽台涼一涼。

Crank the clothes pole down. 把晾衣杆搖下來

Hang the laundry on it and crank it up. 挂好衣服，搖上去

Put the laundry away. 晾幹了，收好衣服。

First sort the laundry. 将衣服分類。

Match the socks. 襪子要配好

Turn clothing right-side-out 衣服的外面要朝外

Fold shirts, sweaters, and pants neatly. 把襯衣、毛衣、褲子疊好

Hang dresses, and blouses. 将連衣裙、女襯衫挂起來

Fold towels. 疊好毛巾

其他家務：

Son, can you feed the puppy?

Water the flowers please.

Take the puppy out for a walk.
