1. all the time 意為"始終，總是"，相當于頻度副詞 always，但always用于系動詞、助動詞、情态動詞之後，行為動詞之前，all the time 放在動詞之後。

He gets up early to do sports all the time.

= He always gets up early to do sports.

他總是早起鍛煉。

2. from time to time = at times =sometimes 意為"有時"

At times /Sometimes / From time to time my father likes to take a walk after dinner.

有時我父親晚飯後喜歡去散散步。

3. on time 意為"按時、準時"，表示"按計劃或預期在特定的時間内完成某事"。

You must finish your homework on time.

你必須按時完成你的作業。

He can get there on time.

他能夠按時到達那裡。

(4) in time 意為"及時"，表示"正趕上某個時候或恰好在需要的時候，沒有遲到"，也可理解為"在最後的截止時間前或在最後一刻完成某事"。

He was just in time for the bus.

他及時趕上了公共汽車。

She arrived just in time for the beginning of the meeting.

她及時到達，趕上了會議的開始。

(5) some time 意為"一些時間"或"一段時間"。

She plans to visit Beijing and stay there for some time.

她計劃去北京參觀，在那裡待一段時間。

It took us some time to finish planting the trees.
