1、表示“從(水上、陸地通道等）的一端至另一端，穿過、經過”。

through the hall 穿過大廳；through the mountains 穿過大山；through the window /pipe 管道；see through glass 通過玻璃看；see through sb 看穿；go through the city center 穿過市中心；through the forest 穿過森林；push through the crowd 擠過人群；make one’s way through the traffic 穿過來往的車輛；

The river flows through the city center. 這條河流流經市中心。

2、表示“自始至終”：

live through the night 活過今晚；live through the 經曆那場戰争

3、表示“直至”：

4、表示“借助于”：

5、表示“通通障礙、避開法律的結果”：
