2.owe……to把…歸因于；認為…是由于；歸功于；起源于

其主語可以是人，也可以是物，且隻用于主動語态。

He owes his success to hard work.

他的成功是靠勤奮工作。

The play owes much to French tragedy.

這部戲頗受法國悲劇的影響。

I owe everything to him.

我的一切都歸功于他。

Champagne houses owe their success to brand image.

香槟公司的成功在于他們的品牌形象。

因為attribute第一個字母是a, 在主動語态中，其主語隻能是人,可以聯想為口訣：隻有主動愛人，世界才會變得美好。
